Watched this video before I had bought any replacement seen that he was a small business so I bought two pairs both good quality and look very nice. Super easy install. I found that using my rubbing alcohol of 91% and a wash cloth was the easiest way to remove left over adhesive. We’ll see how they hold up after a while but over super happy I purchased these!
Apple didn't design the earpads to be easily replaceable like Bose headphones where the pads can simply be snapped off/on. Apple would rather you buy new headphones. Shame on Apple.
rkgsd if you knew tech, you would know that generally it’s easier to work on Apple products. Everything is fastened with screws, not glue like android.

well beats are a cheap product, cheaply made that is. Youre paying for the brand not the quality. If you want really good headphones you only need to spend like $80 on Sony MDR-7506s. They look like theyre from the 80-90s because they are. Because theyre that consistent and just decent no BS headphones. I'm repairing the beats I have because my little brother ruined the padding and was going to get rid of them and honestly i dont know if the 4 dollars it took to repair them was worth it.......
Thanks this was simple enough. I had to look closely at the video to see that the black ring was the adhesive I was supposed to remove as well. Also you should mention there are actually right and left ear pads and if you pick the right ones the holes line up perfectly 😊 good thing you mentioned lining the holes before taking the adhesive off. Be careful not to break the dowel when cleaning the adhesive. It doesn't take much because it's a tiny bit of plastic. PS - I used nail polish remover and a cotton pad. Installation worked well for me! Thanks 👍

Man, I spent £450 on solos when they 1st came out. 3 or 4 years later the hinges are fucked due to 3-4 crashes on my MTb and leather on the padding is bad due to sweat from going to the gym and sliding sunglasses on without taking the headphones off. I was just going to use them till they crumbled and buy a new set for £80 but now that I figured out you can get new pads and new hinges for less than £20 that's the path I'm going down because cosmetically apart from 3 or 4 minor scratches the headphones are in good condition and functionally they still work perfectly. T

I was wondering if you can make a 420 headband, it's not exactly the headband but the grip on the bottom of you understand me, right under the beats on the headband because it looks pretty easy to replace... my second idea is if you can make skins for beats, but wrap it all over the beats, not just some because it looks crappy when you can tell it's a skin but if you can wrap it all over it would look super cool!!!

Great video I had got a pair of solo wireless beats 3 in rose gold n the padded part was all white so they became dirty so I changed the pads to black ones with flower prints on them I was paranoid at first but ur video got me through it 💪👍

I have Solo 3 wireless special edition. Left side cushion was slowly coming out and foam is visible but I tried to insert it again but it slowly being torn off. I just want to ask if I can possible buy a pair of cushion so I could just replace it myself.

Awesome video and I plan on replacing mine with these soon because I noticed today that the faux leather on the left ear cup has started to tear and it will only be a matter of time before it tears even more and gets worse. My first thought was to contact Apple, which I did and found out it would cost me $129 to get it repaired and they don't even know if the materials they use will be BRAND NEW. They said it might be re-manufactured or whatever is the match to the ones on my headphones. SMH...and then I found your company on Amazon and saw how easy it would be to replace it and how cheap it is and KNEW I would be purchasing this soon! Good quality for the price. Got mine off of Amazon for 10 bucks. Beats are some of the best headphones...but over a year of working out and sweating the salt from your sweat will tear these apart lol
HELP!!! How do you remove the cloth??????? I tried to use a knife to remove the entire cushion and ALL I got out was the pad, but the cloth is still stuck to it! I'm scared that if I remove it I'll break my headphones. I thought the cloth was connected to the cushion. None of the videos online are showing how to remove the cloth because they were both removed in one piece! Help!!!

I have a pair of Beats Solo 2.0 wireless headphones which are "on-ear", I'd like to convert them to "over" the ear. Is there some way to replace the ear cushion to achieve this?
If you will only use the left side , it will fit your Solo 2 wired. We just don't recommend this for Solo 2 wired because Beats solo wireless versions have a usb port on the right side of the headphones, and our wireless ear pads have a special cutout to accommodate for that usb port. However , you will have to pay for its full price while only using the left side cushion.
One of the pointed things were removed from mine while i was replacing them. Will that cause a problem? I located it back inside and i sure hope it works🥺
@@WickedCushions just finished... a little problem on the Red Solo3 version, the original leather of the pads covers the grey plastic, but not the new pads. i think i will paint the side of the grey plastic black... 🤔
@@ThazRyder That is because you missed a very important step, which was actually removing the old grey piece of plastic because that part belonged to the original cushion. Wicked Cushions mine lasted 6 months. Just noticed today so i will need to order new ones

Once you have replaced the original pads with these. If these start to rip I presume you cant replace them because they are glued on the the adhesive?

They are still ON-EAR ear pads, unfortunately they will still sit on top of your ears. Your only solution is to get an over-ear headphone

Its not important, its there for alignment - install the cushions as if the pegs were already there

You're welcome. As long as the its installed properly, you can already use the ear pads after installation.
@@WickedCushions just finished... a little problem on the Red Solo3 version, the original leather of the pads covers the grey plastic, but not the new pads. i think i will paint the side of the grey plastic black... 🤔
@@ThazRyder That is because you missed a very important step, which was actually removing the old grey piece of plastic because that part belonged to the original cushion.
Unfortunately, you have installed the new cushion on TOP of the old cushion.
