Thank you for the help I was able to replace the back left arm on my Mavic air after watching your video. I have never flown a drone and my boss brought one to work because he wants us to inspect the roofs at our job site. Yay for me! Someone at the office broke it before he could bring it out to me. Thankfully your video was here so that I could get it back up and running in no time. Thanks again.
Had to replace front and back arm. Video was excellent. The first two screws were so filled with glue they looked flat. I managed to get it all back together thanks to you. I spun up the drone in the garage and it had lights and all 4 props had power. Will do a test flight in a few days. Thank you, thank you!
Great video! Helped me get my front arm replaced on my Mavic Air after a aftermarket propeller failure knocked it out of the sky. Now I have to try and find some OEM props so I can test out the repair.
Crashed my air in to a gate at full speed, broke rear and front opposite arms. This guide was superb thankyou. She’s flying again! Man I love liquid electrical tape, it hides my god awful soldering efforts.
Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. I got mine flying again after watching this. The only minor difference, I lifted up the ESC board to hide the slack on the LED wires.
Want to drop you a note to say thank you for such a comprehensive and detailed video. It was close to perfect and helped me repair my two damaged front legs on my Air. One detail that I didn't see in the video, and is probably is a no brainer, but I almost missed it was the washer that seats in the top of the arm bracket. Again, Thank you for a super awesome video that really saved the day (and a huge repair bill)!!
Thanks for the video. I was only using it to get the main board out to replace the IMU, but it was perfect to figure out how to open up, which cables to remove and where the screws are! Thank you.
I tore mine down to dry the circuits out real good after it went to the bottom of my lake. Only problem I had, must of been a flaw, is that while un connecting the antenna wire, it pulled the connector right off the board on one antenna. All was good, I soldered it to the mother board instead. I have repaired hundreds of phones, so I have specialized equipment on hand. Even my camera had a few drops of water floating around in it. I did like I do with phones, put all the circuit boards in the oven at the lowest setting 170degrees for 30 mins. I put the whole drone in there at first to dry it out, no problems, propellers and all.lol
Hi man, I had an accident with my Mavic Air, I'm waiting for the front motor arm, so I flew by my house and the spacecraft slipped to the right, then I did the calibration that went wrong. before. Channel success.
Seth McClaine I would definitely not, maybe a last resort? I did this and my Mavic fell from 370 feet. I think a gust of wind blew it and then it tried to compensate and it was too much force on the arm and it broke. It was in about 9 prices and I never found the battery. I would say just try and fix it the right way.
Did this repair to replace the rear right arm. Now im getting ESC errors on 3 and 4. I could understand one of them being rom me screwing up the repair, but im perplexed how it could be both. Any ideas on what I could've done wrong?
Thanks for the video btw, IV never soldered before but I have a steady hand and have removed the motor arm, there is still almost all the old solder still on the board do I really need to add more ?
Hi. Thank you for this video. I have a question, what are those little screws used to fix the arms on the exterior, on the plastic, that you have to put off before the solder? Is that torx? And which, T1, T2 ? Thks
Hi, I recently purchased a Mavic Air 3, but unfortunately, it was involved in an accident within the first 24 hours. The drone was attempted to be flown by friend and crashed into a bus. Fortunately, the camera is undamaged, but the opposite side of camera body is severely crushed. I'm wondering if there's any possibility of repairing it ??
@@dronezonenj3038 thanks mate, I just ended up getting the screws out, and the video was vital in my success never soldered you made it look easy 😂 my hand was shaking like a drug addict but I managed to pull it off 😄 thanks mate you saved me 145 pounds
After completing my arm replacement, thanks to you, btw, am getting error msgs 200 and 202. So frustrating! Kinda kidding, but is there a "check engine" light equivalent that needs reset maybe? Any help is appreciated. No other resource really but you!!
Download DJI Assistant 2 On your PC or Mac you can reset your drone to factory settings clearing Most software bugs. May fix your issue as long as your ESC's are not damaged and your soldering is done correctly. Hope this helps!
Dji quoted me $166 for 2 front arm and GPS module replacement. I have watched this video, checked the pricing of the parts needed and....decided to pay them to do it. I’m just little worried to mess this up.
My mavic air I've only got 2.5hours flight and a motor failed its under warranty but really annoyed about it as not once have I crashed it or anything bad I totally look after it
Thank you for taking the time to film, edit and post this. I'm back in the air thanks to you.

Yeah i did that too!
Thanks for posting this detailed video. Today I did my repairs and dry tests. Tomorrow hopefully back in the air.

So if u match the color wires it will spin the right way.. no going back and switching wires?
Thanks for this Video. My Drone is flying again!
Thanks so much for the video. I'm flying once again!!!
Thank you, very clear and concise!
thanks for sharing this amazing skills... you saved me a lot... time to back in the air
Life saver, thank you very much, a highly necessary video
Much appreciated for this vid. Only thing I'd say is tell everyone to keep their screws arranged at the start of the video. Top man though

Thoughts on glueing a broken arm back together? Is it a horrible idea? If not, any recommendations on what glue to use?

Seth McClaine if you are going to glue it, use bob smith industries super glue and accelerator. Works great. Extremely strong glue.
Amazing Job bro thanks for help us to fix our drone
A smaller solder tip would help.. BTW do you know if the front landing leg can be replaced w/o replacing entire arm.?
amazing video. Thank you, bro.
PS You put golden plate upside down while assembling the unit
Can you please make a video for the Mavic Air how to remove and replace the Flexible Gimbal Flat Ribbon Flex Cable. Thanks
Thank you so much for the video! helped a lot.
What little knife looking pry tool is that?
Which Torx size You use to unscrew rear arms? THX!! I tried T8 as I read it in forum, but was too big.
Thanks for your help....I fixed my Mavic Air after it crashed into 3 feet of water

Thank you so much . Very informative video
Hej!
How can I remove glue from screws?
Excellent video. I’d hug you right now. No homo. Gold bracket installed backwards though bro! Ha!
I don't remember how the SD door came out haha.. how do I mount sdcard door hehe
What soldering iron do you need for this repair. I tried but seems my iron isn't good enough 🤔
i recommend Hakko FX888D Digital Soldering Station
Hi. Have a question, how I can check if GPS is ok or not ?
Your website isn’t working, do you have a new site to visit for repairs?

Any idea on the size of these yet?
The newer models don't have screws in the gimbal area any longer it seems, at least mine doesn't
what are they? rivits?
@@madmike_9343 there simply were no cover screws at the gimbal if I remember correctly.

Can you tell me the name of the silver screwdriver you are using please
Hi Mark the Silver screw driver im using is a 1.5mm Hex Driver a 1.5mm allen key will work the driver is just easier to get more torque

Hi,
My motor have a sand.
How disassembled it.
My problem is the magnetic cup
It's the black bracket and when it does push in it's not lined up
Which type iPex connector for the rf to board?

If the motor runs, used gorilla glue gel , only on areas that broke up Hold 15 sec, let set for a day.
il colore militare e adesivo o scocche in plastica e dove le hai comprate? grazie
Good I like
My rear arm popped off in a crash. Yours seems to just wiggle on, my won't go on. Even with the hex screws out. Any one know why?
Hi, any suggestions as to where I can get replacement arms for a Mavic Air in the UK?
Ali express
After a little fall my mavic air when i fold it the front and back arms are little touch each other is that fixable?
I can't put my bracket back on my arm I tried everything and I even try to put the old ono back on
Hey if which one are you referring to? the one that goes in the arm that makes it move

FUCK ME, AT LAST!!! FAIR PLAY TO YOU DRONE ZONE :)
DBM. ENGLAND.
Couldn’t you just superglue the arm back together?🤔
You put the copper rear bracket in upside down.
13:45, the copper plate was upside down.
doesn't matter as it only holds ribbon cables in place. Still doing its job
you place the gold plate wrong position
I noticed that as well. It was upside down.
My mavic air just fell out of the sky at 100m altitude and crashed into my roof.
Mistake at min 13:49
Excellent #Like301 joined the channel TTYS God bless
yeah, I crashed too!
All that fuss just to replace an arm? What a shitty design DJI has.
impossible, it's a mess, i prefer to pay to get it repair to be honest
Not impossible if you know what your doing
@@dronezonenj3038 For an average person, this is beyond.
"If you are inexperienced at soldering I wouldn't recommend this repair" he says when the drone's already mostly disassembled :)
