MARTHA'S VINEYARD & NANTUCKET 🌷⚓️ Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, 'Sconset Bluff Walk, & more!

- In our last vlog we're showing of the two famous islands of New England: Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket! We have always talked about visiting the islands & wanted to see which one was best! They are both so beautiful & special! The charm is off the charts! Martha's Vineyard is a bit larger & offers more opportunities with tourist spots, restaurants, shopping, and outdoor exploring! Nantucket is much smaller, but still so full of charm & has the very beautiful 'Sconset Bluff Walk! If we had to choose one over the other, we would say visit Martha's Vineyard. The ferry is much cheaper to Martha's ($30/person vs $60/person), the ferry ride is much shorter, & there is just more to see & do. They are both worth visiting, but that's our opinion if you only have enough time for one. In this vlog we explore Oak Bluffs & Edgartown in Martha's Vineyard, eat some good food, & check out a beautiful lighthouse! The second part of this vlog we explore downtown Nantucket, take the buss over to Siasconset to do the 'Sconset Bluff Walk & have an amazing sandwich at Claudettes! While your in Nantucket you've got to stop in at Handlebar Cafe for a coffee or matcha! The downtown is beautiful with the cobblestone streets & the picturesque houses at Old North Wharf! We are so thankful we had the opportunity to see them both!

Previously, (past 40 yrs) I've lived in Scotland, VT, NH, MA, CT, NC, FL, WI, NM, AZ, Vegas and Mexico. I've driven cross country (USA)with just my dog six times. I've been wandering Europe slowly these past five. I'm not wealthy just careful and slow. We all have different paths but the adventures that awaken our spirits are plentiful. Even a day trip for those who can not go far right now can be inspirational and relaxing to our spirits.

For the ,most part you really lucked out on the weather. The Cape & Islands can have a few days of unpredictable overcast downpours and then a week of beachy high temp cloudless sunshine. Great you saw it in the best light.

You two are adorable! Where are you from?? I’m from upstate ny ( woodstock ny ) I applied for AFFORDABLE housing on the cape!! Ha I’m a former school librarian and use to make a good living but due to a Disablity? They limited where I could live luckily MA has actually ok affordable apts! And I live in Chatham now! So saw your video pop up on my feed last week! I hate it here lol 😅 I prefer to be closer to bridge or Ptown! Chatham too quiet and always humid!!! It’s like its own weather here ha

I’m sorry to say you did not experience the Martha’s Vineyard as it should be shown. Vineyard Haven, Menemsha, Gay Bluffs….the parts you showed were all touristy places.
Next time we'll have to try those things out! We were tourists as well since we had never been before. Thanks for the suggestions we'll have to try them out next time 🤟
