- There are some variations for the lyrics, but this old spiritual song references the sacred elements of the gospel: the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Back in the 1960s, my high school choir sang a beautiful acapella arrangement of this spiritual, and it has been one of my favorites over the years.
Special thanks to Paul McGill (world-class luthier in Nashville, TN) for installing the goacoustic pickup on this guitar! It is by far the best sounding pickup that I have ever tried.

(On the third verse, I inserted lyrics different from the ones I was thinking of while developing the arrangement, thereby resulting in an unintentional break on the word "shouting." I had been hearing in my mind and playing, "causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble" rather the words, "feel like shouting, 'Glory, Glory, Glory'." The change in lyrics was a last minute thing, and my wonderful wife said not to redo the video!)
