- Crows love corn and are one of the smartest birds on Earth, but when you snooze you lose! Chipmunks know corn and when they find it they don't wait. What Chipmunks lack in intelligence or brain power they make up for by hard work much to the frustration of Mr. Crow!

It takes them about 20 minutes. They hide it away in their underground burrows.

Beaks obviously work for birds, but sometimes it's nice to have teeth. Teeth make a difference when eating corn on the cob.
That was a realy huge node for him. He probably recieved tons of XP when the raid was over.

Why would it do that? It knows as long as the camera is there, it will always have free food.

I think this is less about intelligence and more about teeth. It’s much easier for the chipmunk to pull corn off the cob than for the crow to do so. Also, I think the chipmunk spotted the corn first, anyway.
Actually, now that I think about it, there’s really no way you can say that the chipmunk outsmarted the crow. No intelligence of note was displayed here.

Chipmunk, squirrel- are the most tenacious of the wild animals, they simply keep trying no matter what- we could learn a lot from that mentality.

Love Chipmunks. grew up with them but haven't seen one in over 15 years. Chipmunk doesn't waste a morsel, humans should learn not to waste food. Enjoyed video in hyper speed, awesome.

But saying He outsmarted the Crow is misleading. Cleary the Chipmunk lives close and was taking all the corn home where as the Crow may have a range of 50, if not far more, miles and arrived late!

The chipmunk didn't "outsmart" it, it just happened to be there first. And, your little....'experiment' turned a wild chipmunk into a food-a-holic for however long it took to eat that whole cob of corn. That would be like us eating a 7 foot corn cob. I pity that poor chipmunk's guts after that. Overfeeding is not very nice (wild animals & dogs can't say 'enough!').
I didn't see it carrying any corn.
