Im 50% sure that if Riot removed the 10 most picked champions of the last 12 months for like 2 months that would force pro players to come up with new strategies and counter picks. Azir, Yone, Aphelios and some others are straight up failed designs. Impossible to make them viable for pro play and solo queue at the same time. Cant do much about these but change their kits. Yet other champions are just over picked, dont offer anything to the draft and make the game boring af. Some pros are just lazy when it comes to draft and only value comfort. Leagues problem nowadays is a mix of both.
