i believe you can teach your cat not to bite by going “ow!” and taking your hand away when they do it, then ignoring them for a bit to show you didn’t appreciate it lol. also if you’re getting kittens you want to pick them up and hold them even if they complain, or they’ll never want to let you hold them as adults. i learned that one the hard way with my cat and it makes it hard to do things like take her to the vet or take her to a room when there’s a tornado warning.
Every cat has their own personality, it's just something us as humans have to adapt to. Young cats have more energy and like to play scratch/bite but they don't understand they hurt you when they play too hard

That way they learn hands aren't a toy and that you dislike when they bite/scratch you
Although getting scratches and bites are just inevitable things you sign up for when getting a cat lol cos until you train them to stop it/until they get old enough you’ll probably get plenty of them. My cat’s a 15 year old gentle giant at this point, but I still have plenty of scars on my hands and arms from when he was a young little goofy goober 😂

observation duty anomaly suggestion:

There is SO much that can help with cats man, I hope you grab some info.
1. Don't use clay litter
2. Don't use covered litter boxes
3.Don't use auto litter boxes... they are decapitating cats :(
4. DON'T use cat trees that have carpet material on them, you will train your cats to rip up and eat your carpet.
5. Spray bottles that make the cats fear you is a myth. I use one, rarely, and my cat literally runs to me and follows me around. Wants to be held like a baby, etc. Cats just like to push the boundaries sometimes and that spray bottle teaches them to not do it in a non harmful way. Yelling at the cat or anything else is FAR worse. I can stop my cat from doing something bad just by shaking the water bottle. I rarely have to spray.
6. If you let your cats outside, you need to get them heartworm medication. MOST DO NOT KNOW THIS. THIS IS CRUCIAL. Unlike dogs, when they get heartworms they can take the medication and be fine, CATS CANNOT TAKE IT TO KILL HEART WORMS ONCE THEY ARE THERE. The chances of your cat dying from heart worms is way too high. It's something about the dose needed to kill the worms at that point is toxic to cats, but the small amount to prevent them from hatching/egging is ok for cats. Any mosquito can be a literal assassin to your cats. :(
7. Squeeze they paws gently every day, get them used to their paws being touched, this will make trimming nails SO easy, and less stressful for your cats.
8. Get your cats used to other people/friends coming over - or any new person/doorbell/knocking will make them run and hide. Not the worst thing, but that does mean your cat is having an anxiety attack when people come over.
9. Do not feed your cats anything with grain. It's so bad for them, food like that is just rolling the dice on your cat getting cancer or kidney problems.
10. Use a water fountain, not a bowl, this will get the cats to drink more water which is crucial to their survival, cats all have kidney issues/crystallization, so you never want to "help that" along by making them dehydrated.
11. Keep the water bowl away from their food and litter boxes. Most cats want water farther away from their food. The fountain also makes them want to drink because it's "flowing" water. Cats see "still water" as possibly being stagnant and/or disease ridden. So they will avoid "still water" more than fountains.
12. Depending on where you live use a good water filter for your cats water. Again, kidney issues, make sure they have good clean water.
13. Clean the water bowls VERY WELL. The fountain motors can get really disgusting. They have something called "Humming bird feeder cleaners" really small pipe cleaners, they are a GOD SEND to cleaning the motors in your water fountain.
14. Set up safe places for your cat. Wall cat mounts are amazing, they love being up high. Even setting up little "blanket tents" can help with anxiety.
15. Try to play with your cat at least twice a day for a bit, it helps their confidence.
16. If you can, try to get them used to small tooth brushes. This will save you a solid 200 per cat every other year for dental cleanings.
17. Always have a "Styptic Powder" around for when you trim their nails. In the rough chance you ever hit their quick (Please don't lol) that powder works almost instantly to stop their claw from bleeding. This obviously helps with stopping infections, but also they don't bleed all over the place.
18. Trimming is easy, most cats you can "see" their quick, try to not trim anywhere near them. In reality just trim a small chunk off every week, the "sharp" part of their claws.
19. DO NOT get the cats declawed, for the love of god, we need to make that illegal.
20. Get your cats microchipped if they aren't. This really helps in the event they get out.
21. Use QUICK RELEASE collars, if you are putting collars on them, so that way they don't ever "Choke themselves out" by it getting caught, or prevent them from moving forward if it's stuck.
22. The collar debate is both correct and it's hard to debate it. Collars can be uncomfortable to cats of course, if they don't have one and get loose then people may assume they are a stray.... and some people do bad things to strays.
23. If they ever eat a string and you see some "string" coming out of their butt. DO NOT PULL IT. It's best to take them to the vet so they can make sure it's ok. Pulling the string can straight up cause their intestines to strangulate/die off. If you know for sure your cat ate string, then it's up to you on if you want to take them in right away, at the very least if the string was longer than 6 inches I would recommend it...better safe than sorry.
24. Brush your cats daily. This will help with shedding/hair issues, but also they love it and it's a good bounding time.
25. Treats are important just like food, they have these "Squeeze treats" that are AMAZING. Cats love them, they get bonding time since you give them the treat by squeezing it out instead of setting treats on the ground, and they are actually really healthy comparably. Though I know there are a few different makers out there.
26. If you ever have a time that the cats are anxious, they do make "pheromone releasers" that you can plug in. It gives off pheromones that they remember as kittens with their mom/safe place.
27. If you ever get new cats/kittens when you cats are a bit older there is a HUGE list of things to make sure it goes smoothly, trust me. There was one small mistake I made once with a cat that is a freaking ninja, and it took over 2 years to get them "Ok" with each other now.
28. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP THE ZUCHINI CAT SCARE. This one really needs to stop. It's not funny. This is torturing your cat and giving them anxiety in a safe space like your house and their feeding area. FFS.
29. Cats act very different than dogs do when it comes to "pain". Dogs are... well kind of whiners. You can tell when something is wrong. Cats, mostly react by hiding, staying under things for long periods of time, as well as purring. Yes, purring is more than just when they are happy. They will purr when anxious, as well as purr when in pain, as they have found the vibrations of purring has helped heal fractures/breaks, which is crazy!
30. If you can avoid using the lice prevention medicine I would highly...HIGHLY recommend. As long as your cat doesn't go outside, and you maintain a rather clean place, it's pretty hard for them to get lice. It's still possible for sure, it's one of those things that if there is a "decent" chance of catching lice, then go ahead and use the preventative, but be aware that many cats have actually died from this application and/or had seizures.
31. If you ever have to give your cats medication and they start foaming a bit at the mouth DO NOT PANIC. Cats do this whenever they taste something really bitty and start flicking their tongue around. I had a panic attack when I saw that for the first time because I thought maybe it was like an overdose or something... I never want to experience that kind of thinking again.
32. If your cat has to have medicine for long periods of time, don't just keep giving them the medicine in a way that gives them anxiety. There are a bunch of options out there, some people don't recognize. There is the obvious pill form: which you can sometimes just grind down into powder or remove the capsule to put in their wet food and they won't ever notice it, if you can't do it that way they do make these little syringes with a claw at the end, which holds the pill. You have to get the pill to the back of their throat so they swallow it, this syringe helps that as well as a bit of water to help them swallow it... but most of the time cats are not happy about this approach. The other option with pills (Check with your vet) is to take the powder and mix it with a small amount of water and use the syringe to push the medicine water into their mouth, very little amount of water. This is easier than swallowing a pill - but again the pill may need to be given in that exact form and can't be crushed, so always check with your vet.
32.1. If the pill option isn't a great one, most "apothecaries" and "Pharmacies" that have their own medicine creation processes can actually take most cat medicine and suspend it in oil along with certain flavors to help the cats either have it in their food or syringed into their mouths. This is one of the better options, but obviously more expensive.
32.2. I can't express enough to talk to your vet if the medicine isn't working or your cat is basically hiding from you and the medicine. Vets are loving animal people, they totally get it, and they can help you try to get the cat into a better medicine practice with options you probably didn't know existed.
I am sure I am missing even more than this... There is a lot of information to make sure you and your feline babies do well over the years and have a bond that is way stronger than people realize.
33. Do yourself a favor and look up all the common household chemicals/food/plants/decoration that are toxic to cats, it will blow your mind, but it might also save their life. For instance, Garlic - EXTREMELY TOXIC to your cats and there doesn’t have to be much to hurt and/or kill them. This is a common thing because people will often let their cat have a piece of their food (I recommend never giving cats food off your plate) and the seasoning hurts the cat. There are others that are so potent it can burn the inside of their nasal passages/throat, like alcohol and cinnamon.
33.1. I only recommend this because that small information may stop you from losing a cat, it’s not something that can just be reversed. Most people don’t think about the fact a “smell” can severely hurt your feline companion.
34. If you ever have trouble with your cat eating, and obviously this is information for after the vet visit, one of the best ways to get cats to eat is baby formula - chicken. You can even heat it up a little bit, nothing more than body temp and this has a damn good chance for cats to eat it. The main reason is Gerber/baby food is watched so much that they often keep the ingredients as real/small as they can, so this is good for your family member, but also cats sometimes won’t eat if they can’t smell - heated up baby food can produce quite a smell. This baby food also tends to have a big chunk of calories (in terms of cats, not humans) so if they only eat a small amount, it can still help make sure they have calories in them.
34.1. In the event your cat goes a day without eating, and a few without water, be aware that they can get kidney damage from that sort of thing. It’s not a high chance at the 24-hour mark, but cats can be so different, like humans, that it’s just a guideline. It’s never a good thing when a cat refuses to eat or drink, so please reach out to a vet when a cat is acting different in terms of health, eating, drinking, playfulness.

This list is pretty good, but I wanted to say not all auto litter boxes are killing cats. Auto litter boxes that do not shut are safe. It’s cheap knock off amazon auto litter boxes that DO shut and block the door that are decapitating cats. Basically, auto litter box with door? Horrible. Auto litter box without door or shutting mechanism? Probably fine. Just go for well-known brands that have things like video reviews and verification, NO CHEAP KNOCK OFFS
Not all autoboxed are killing cats, there is an off brand specifically doing that, main brand auto litter boxes are okay there is a guy on youtube that made a whole video about this and reviews automatic litterboxes

heya! I just played the game, and in the kitchen, there can be an inruder literally smushed against the camera all curled up, and in the bathroom, a head can peek from the toilet as well! Hope this helps!!
That pot you see on the stove looks like a double boiler. Thats why it looks like that. Another pot sits down in it.
It also kinda looks like a tall pot with a short pan behind it.
Some minor things that can help with having cats: get them used to you touching their paws and teeth. It'll make it easier as they get older to clip their claws and checking their teeth for plaque or any cavities and such.

I wouldn't call spray bottle, an abuse. since if i didn't do it, my own cat wouldn't know to back away. you just don't use it in their face.
sadly my niece taught the kitten to bite when younger so he doesn't really get it. so if I don't have it, then I'm in trouble lol. especially since he's a big breed. But Id never say anyone was awful unless they misuse it. Like one or two squirts is enough. if you keep doing it to just frighten them, then I'd call it abuse.
but you can yell at them. you have to be stern when saying no to a cat. Like don't raise your voice too much but a stern loud NO is all it really takes.
and I wouldn't over do it on treats either. treats are like candy only used for well maybe and MAYBE once a day. or when given when they're doing tricks which you can teach or when they do something good.
but yes, cat's love brush's, cat's also love cat trees. there are two types I suppose. one are tree climbers, and the other are down to earthers where they don't care to climb. but you also have to make sure they don't claw anything either. Like furniture or your own curtians if you have any. so plenty of scratching posts, and spray citrus on stuff since they hate the smell of it.
other than that, other than giving them proper care and love they mostly take care of themselves and they sleep a lot so. no worries there. it's easy when it comes down to it.
I noticed the forbidden snack/ strange broadcast anomalies are some kind of reworked “other” anomalies.
Previous games gave you the option for anything that didn’t fit standard anomaly types and it ended up wish shoving all the specials in the “other” category which made it confusing
This special category appearing when needed is so much more clear and even adds some extra surprise because the option wasn’t there before you just think “hey that wasn’t there in the reports earlier was it???”

That’s good advice but you can also yell “OW”like super loud. Don’t yell at them and even if it doesn’t hurt just yell it out. They will get scared almost and back off. That’s what I’ve done and now she will bite me but never hard just playing

53:40 It would be cool if there was a high activity mode or a slider like in Mortuary Assistent for some crazy playthroughs. But the dev would probably have to make waaay more jumpscares for that to work for 6 ingame hours.
I can kinda get the logic behind letting ski man get closer, but at the same time I think people who stream games have some portion of their brain that subconsciously makes judgment calls that dictate what action would be better for content.

That fricking dog painting was messing with me so much during the stream. When i first saw it, it looked like a creepy ghost lady to me, but on another passthrough it looked like a dog.... At first i thought painting anomaly, but on the next round it looked like the lady again; someone else in chat saw it, so i was like; "Oh, it's like that other observation duty game where the anomaly changes when you move past it." NOPE; it's just a really messed up painting that looks like two different things depending on how you look at it.

I have had cats for a long time, consider myself rather good at training them, claw trimmings are easy, medicine is easy, etc. I don't consider a spray bottle animal abuse...though I guess it can be if you overdue it. I think maybe... MAYBE once a month I have to spray once. Most of the time they listen(I know, crazy right?) and if they continue just me shaking the bottle gets them to stop, because they know what they are doing is going to get them sprayed if they continue.
CAT TIP: when your cat (congrats btw!) bites you the best way to convince them to stop is to make a sort of "TSS!" sound. like the sound you make in ba-dum tss jokes! Cats think humans are also cats, and when one cat is playing too rough the other cat knows that if it hisses it can communicate to the other cat that its done, so by this logic, your cat is expecting you to hiss/TSS at it to tell it you're done playing/its playing too rough. It won't scare it, it isnt traumatic or abusive, and it can feel a little silly to do but its realistically the best thing to do :) Cuz if you push them away it risks increasing aggression or making them think that they're being pet and rewarded for biting hard :) many people think its okay to use water spray bottles because it makes the same sound but the reason that's bad for their mental health is because their fur is VERY dense and not made to withstand water. Having water on them, even just a little mist, feels like wearing a beanie to us so that along with the hissing will really confuse them. Sorry for the huge comment, cat intelligence and training is just a huge interest of mine hehe.

I think some of the anomalies have the capability to mess with your systems, causing as much time to be wasted as possible so they can destroy the camera (and prevent other anomalies from being rid of.)
For example, the alien (or the deformed baby?) of the Entryway was most likely confusing your system and forcing you to do a Captcha to confirm you are a human.
The Skiier was probably slowing down the system and forcing prompts so they could get close and destroy the camera. Why skiis is beyond me.
Most likely there would be other kinds that I'm unaware of, right now at least, that can do similar effects. Except for !!HUGE SPIDER!!. That one was just freaking everyone out.

We got two cats but only have the one litter box. Its always worked for last ten years. But they do also go outside and they tend to prefer going outdoors instead of in the litter tray.
And they don't always love brushes. Mine hate them because we never really acclimatised them to brushes.
You gotta just. Acclimatise them from kitten stage, especially if you want to bathe them. Get them used to it early so it doesn't traumatise them later on
