Great technique, Lou 😊
That is a really pretty background! I have to try this technique!
Great idea Lou, and your card is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Karen ❤️
Super idea ! Thank you for sharing !
Thank you Pauline 😊
A really brilliant tip. I don’t have a die cutter yet, but it is still possible to draw, paint and cut out sections of a flower and leaves and assemble them as you did. 👍🏼❤️
Absolutely! Flowers are such organic shapes there’s not really right or wrong shapes to cut either!
Lovely card
Thank you 😊
Great idea
Thank you x
What an awesome idea, I bet there's lots of different effects that could be achieved using this technique! Anne of Positively Papercraft did something similar (not in as much detail though), except she did quite a colourful background and overlayed a large simple & plain embellishment on top. It also looked great. I was thinking if you did a very colourful background using this technique then made a simple origami shape, such as a butterfly using white paper, this could look really stunning.
Thanks for this great idea. I don't have access to a lot of crafty stuff you guys have access to over there - or it's really really expensive - so I'm always looking for innovative ideas I can make or do myself.
I'm actually trying to think of a liquid substance that could harden when dried - like puff paint or plaster of paris (similar to royal icing on biscuits) - to create various letter or shape embellishments one could then paste on top of a colourful background... any ideas?
Would Nuvo drops work? X
@@LouCollins Thank you - I did think of nuvo drops, but this is one of the products very difficult to find in my country. I did see your tutorial using nail polish, but I am a little worried about paper damage but might still give that a try. I'm also hoping my local hardware store might have some cost-effective ideas...
This card with the embossing and the flower was so lovely. May I ask you what kind of glue you use? Thanks for your response.
Great tip Lou. =^^=
Thank you Debbie!
