Cristiano talks about the evolution of the Merak with its three models: 3000, 3000ss and 2000gt.
Younger sister of the Maserati Bora with which it shared the splendid design created by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Merak was created to fill the market segment of the Ferrari 308 and Lamborghini Urraco.
Its 300 v6 engine, derived from the Citroen Maserati, would later pave the way for the generation of the Maserati Biturbo created by Alejandro De Tomaso.
Differently from the Bora, the very compact engine allowed the creation of small additional seats, offering customers a beautiful sports car that could also be used occasionally with the family.
Cristiano Luzzago is a collector and specialist of vintage and sports cars. Since the 70’ies Cristiano has been seeking the rarest and most prestigious cars for the most demanding collectors. The brands always available in his “BLUE ROOM” are Aston Martin, Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Porsche, Mercedes, Lotus, MG, Triumph.

Che bei tempi, grande Italia, preferivo di gran lunga la SS oltre che x la potenza il cruscotto era tutt'altra cosa ,cmq il modello in questione non era affatto male , effettivamente il volante mono razza non era il massimo x il tipo di vettura , probabilmente le condizioni perfette erano dovute alla sostituzione con un tre razze conservando l'originale senza usura
una delle auto più belle mai costruite e la più bella tra le Maserati,forse esclusa la mc12,lenta forse per i tempi attuali

La linea era bellissima ma gli interni della prima serie avevano messo lo zampino i francesi che avevano tolto personalità all'insieme dopo decenni si sta ripetendo adesso con l'acquisizione da parte francese di tutto il comparto italiano auto
