@@EarthSurferUSA I like your point about putting DeCister in charge. My reference to Roger as being so great was he did it back on those old bikes and he’s been innovating etc ever since. RC on the track is the GOAT like u said. He brought fitness to a new level. Stewert was imo the most gifted fastest etc. which we prob agree on.

I truly believe Stewart had potential to truly be the greatest of all time when it comes to raw talent on the bike unfortunately he was his own worst enemy.

1 of the all time greats, true legend of the sport. The one name that everyone remembers and rightfully so. I think he is the best.

Truly. The GREATEST ever! As a rider and with his overall influence on the sport, no single person has had as much of an impact. No one person is as synonymous with success in the sport. All those world championships he won himself…. Plus the many championships he was a part of. Motorcycle development, the gear and equipment, style…. He has had an influence on everything. When he was racing, he was a Euro Rock Star. Always the model of a professional. He defined what it was to be a professional.
And on top of all that he is universally known as a really genuine, honest, good person.

I am 53: in Canada in the 70's we had a gp. I saw Roger .Brad Lackey. Heikki Micholas and the nicest guy Japanese Kinoshita. Back then you could walk the pits and get close. Lackey was on Honda and blew his forks every moto.I remember seeing maico with extended forks. Fox shocks. Great memories.

A true ambassador for the sport. I was that little kid who got sick in Ettelbruck when the tension between Willy Bauer and Roger got too much. Roger eventually was World Champion that day and suddenly I felt much better. I was that little kid crying when I read about the Balen accident in the paper. So many memories...if only I could find the pictures of that kid together with Roger again. Unfortunately much more appreciated in the USA than Belgium...what a pitty.

I saw Roger in St. Louis and asked for him to sign my Old Supercross Program magazine. Before he saw it, he said " I am not the Pro, I am the Team Manager. Ryan is the one you want."
Until he saw it with his Picture from California Supercross where I would watch each year. I even road my bmx bike from Torrance California to the LA Coliseum. Yes It was even crazy back then going through gang Streets, But even some of them helped me get there telling me the safe streets to ride on.
Roger looked as if he was taken back to his racing days. I didn't really want him to sign my book for what he was, But I did for who he was, is and going to be. THEY LEGEND of the sport that Loves it so much, he is still in it.
I didn't have the money to race pro my self, But I am a big fan, Watching Roger and the gang, to Jeff3X and the track changers, to Mr. #2 McGrath, to the G.O.T. JS7 and you guys and RD5 with the future riders to watch with my Son and even watch him race some.
My back ground was bmx and mtb, My Son is faster then me on bmx, but I still have the skills on my mtb through the trees.
Roger is the man always has been, Great interview and questions I would have asked. Great job keep up the good work.
P.S. Cool to see the other Names behind the Number 9 before you.

Hey guys, this was more than great, I enjoyed every single minute of it, RD has so much stories to tell, an amazing man and life; I really liked how you both handled the interview, letting Roger explain things with detail and giving him the needed time and space to talk. Most of the times interviewers do not understand that the star of the show is in front of them, you did it awesome.

You know, and I don't want to make a whole big thing about it or anything, but I'm a retired Pro and current Industry Insider. I like to believe that I know everything that there is about Motocross and am somewhat of a Motocross Encyclopedia. Some people call it MX for short. Of course, Supercross, popular in America, is often called SX by the serious fan. Rogers DeCoster is from Europe somewhere and they sometimes call him "The Man." It's a little hard to figure if they called him that because he was very fast on the track or very fast with the Ladies. Rogers raced mostly in the European races which were called Grand Prix. Insiders like me call this GP racing. He mostly raced what was called the Open Class which was for the more powerful racing motorcycles. Insiders like myself typically call this type of MX Motorcycle a Dirt Bike. Just in case you are thinking, they don't really have a GP bike. It's still called a MX or Dirt Bike if raced in American MX or European GP's. I hope that this helps the Casual Fan, as well as the Seasoned Fan, Understand and Appreciate the sport. Motocross was very good to me. I don't like to compare myself to Rogers or anything, but I can say that I Frosted my fair share of Muffin during my day.

So no I'll intent whatsoever in this question but how does a factory rider, racing in a sanctioned event, need road to recovery help in the first place?? His team wouldn't get him back?? If it's to the point a factory rider needs donations to recover from a crash while racing then we as riders and fans need to think about where we spend our money in this sport.. stinging people 45 for a hat to watch a guy break his face after spending 100 min on tics all for that guy to have to get well on his own is shameful... wtf is going on here and why are we allowing it?? We should have to riders back more than that. I know it's an expensive sport, I have twins in it, and I know it's expensive to put on but it's also getting pretty ridiculously expensive just to spectate for a rider to be on his own..... messed up

Billy Goat ya u would think factory teams or ama would have some sort of special insurance for their riders but it’s not the case. It’s sad these guys risk there lives for our entertainment and there teams can’t even cover medical costs.

Was disappointed in this episode. Was nice to hear about Rodgers racing career, but you gouts spent over half the show on that. Wanted to hear more about the 80s Honda, Suzuki etc. Bummer

This was frustrating to try to listen to a calm and quiet Roger telling awesome stories getting C9NSTANTLY interrupted by BOTH HOSTS! And loud obnoxious intersections that weren't even humorous and ruining the stories he was trying to tell.
