Takes some guts to stick a piece of metal in your face when you haven't played seriously for 16 years. Btw the only other conductor I know who started out as a professional trumpeter was Georges Pretre.

Do it without watching score !…like Great Maestro.Karajan,Böhm, Szell, and so on.He can't at all?! Oh ! Bogus.
Even Furtwängler and Böhm conducted the Great C major Schubert with a score, so SHUT UP.
Dude, just shut up. He’s a f*n conductor. We’re lucky he still cares about playing an instrument.
I have heard and seen so many conductors who conducts for memory and makes zero contact with the musicians.
