4 months sober, I’ll never drink again. The damage done to the people I love, to myself, only by the grace of God did I not hurt myself or someone else, or worse. And it was God that took away my desire to drink literally over night. Night of my birthday, May 1st, drunk again of course, stomach on fire, blood in my crap, dropped to my knees and admitted to God I needed His help and that I want to quit but that I wasn’t strong enough to do it on my own. The next day I had zero desire to ever drink again. I’m not religious, you don’t have to be, God doesn’t care, He loves you no matter what and only wants you to know it and for you to allow Him to heal you. Talking to a friend, an alcoholic, this after I had quit drinking, I was trying to help him and we got on the subject of God. I’ll preface this by saying that at this point I hadn’t REALLY given God the credit. Anyways we got on the subject of God and I said “God is like a father figure who’s expectations you can never live up to.”. At that very moment I heard a voice say “That’s not true! I love you no matter what.”. The love I was feeling in that moment, there are no words and I just broke down crying tears of joy. More was said, he consoled me saying it was Ok, I love you. Told me to tell people what had happened, my story and how God is real he does love you as a father with unconditional love, absolute forgiveness. The expectations are simple, Love yourself, love your family and neighbors, the rest will fall into place. If you are still drinking and TRULY wan’t to quit, please ask God for help. God bless all of you.

I can definitely relate to this song and your comment for sure! Alcohol, as with any addiction, is a very hard habit to just say, “I’m done and that’s that!” YOU really have to want to quit and change your life for the better and it can be a daily struggle sometimes, it definitely was for me! I couldn’t even begin to count how many times I’ve driven drunk and had blacked out and don’t even remember how I didn’t kill someone or myself but I did have a couple of really bad wrecks and spent a ton of money for Attorney fees, court costs, losing my drivers license for 10 years after having 5 DUI’s but most of them were dropped but still, what a waste of money and time and doing jail time on my days off and it sucked! I’m a hellava lot older now and the thought of drinking alcohol makes me sick to my stomach so bad but that’s a good thing! Hang in there and have FAITH in yourself that you can and will overcome this phase in your life! Peace, Love, and Light ❣️💯❣️

“I can’t take it, I’m not strong” resonates with me like few song lyrics ever have. I know the loss of your brother is hard. It will never hurt less, but you’ll get used to the pain, where it no longer cripples you daily. I promise. People who take their own life are not “cowards”, they just had things close in on them that were more than they could handle. I pray you find comfort.
“Tell my mom i love her and take care of my friends” That hit the heart, i love my momma an hope if i ever leave before her an my friends she looks after em, they are some good people 😪

This song has got me through some hard times. It’s one of his best!
Perfectly understood Koe. Every time this pops up (which is multiple times daily), I tear up and look at a picture of my little boy I've got on my instrument panel.
Man... The world I know was shaken to its core by the loss of Antonio.. He was 22 yrs of age. When he left on Sunday June 20 2021. Rolled his Silverado many many times.. This song is so powerful.... The words are him to the T.. And this world still shaking.. He was my beautifully Badass son with Rockstar hair. And the way it played on his box as the 1st. Random song.. Was as if he played it for me to hear for the 1st time... Drunk Driving Again.. Woosah.... I'm Jesse Olvera his father . Tristan is his little brother..
🙏🙏🙏
God speed 🙏🏼 remember the good times my friend
Koe Fuckin Wetzel!!!!
It's only been a few days since I last saw him, and I can't wait to see him again!

Oh my! This song has never made me cry, till the video. Ripped the bandaide right off the broken heart from losing my oldest, one of Koe’s biggest fans.
God bless you 🙏
I'm so sorry for your loss😢💔🙏😘 I have 2 son's and I can tell you I know..In the BLINK of an eye....💔😔

Great influence on the children. What a club banger
Big love from rainy old England 🏴
Just lost my brother to Suicide on November 5th 2023. This song has a whole new meaning to me. These words are too true.
🙏🏼❤️🕊
Sorry to hear that.❤
“I can’t take it, I’m not strong” resonates with me like few song lyrics ever have. I know the loss of your brother is hard. It will never hurt less, but you’ll get used to the pain, where it no longer cripples you daily. I promise. People who take their own life are not “cowards”, they just had things close in on them that were more than they could handle. I pray you find comfort.
That feel when you work 60 hours a week and still broke
2:54 hits your soul
Can’t wait to see your show again in September 🤘🏼
Thank you for making something that us with issues can relate to. At least we’re listening to music
Goin through some shit right now.... listened to this song probably 50 times in the last 24 hours!
This song gave me chills first time listening to it but watching the video gave me chills all over again
“Tell my mom i love her and take care of my friends”
That hit the heart, i love my momma an hope if i ever leave before her an my friends she looks after em, they are some good people 😪
Lets Goooo!!!!! 🔥
this is one of those songs where it hits you because you don't even have to be "drunk" with alcohol but drunk with sadeess, fear, regret, hate, anger, loneliness and the only thing that helps is drivin some road to get some sort of escape.
Exactly this. ❤️
This says it all for the meaning of this song♥️♥️
Spot on!
I’m home and not drinking and driving. But like the song says . Great song
Real shit is real shit no way around it and this is it…dope ass track dope ass video…the type of stuff too grab your emotions and twist too where you can help but too feel it…my 76 year old dad had a stroke last week and while at the hospital for the stroke contacted COVID go figure..things were not looking good for a mnt there but now is showing improvement like he’s gonna be ok…and I must say this video has helped me through it looks like I’m gonna have too ride till the end with this guy I’m a fan for life much respect and many thank yous koe wetzel..🙏🏽👍..✌🏽

Just wanted to say I hope you made it to a year. I'll never know you, and you may never see this, but if you do: keep trying. Even if you didn't make it a whole year, you can keep trying. There is some random guy in Texas sending you good vibes and prayers.
Thanks buddy and yep I'm still sober and doing good

Very deep and personal song for me, 16 years full blown addict and we do recover! I'm happy to say I am clean and so grateful God gave me another chance

Man, such a great song, and now we are blessed with a new video. Keep up the good work Koe, my idle, look up to you homie
I just heard this song, for the first time, in the distance from a neighbors house, and I was convinced it was Layne Staley singing. I looked through a lot of the comments, and am surprised no one else thought the same. RIP Layne, you are truly missed ❤
I lost my nephew of 19 in a car wreck. So this song makes more sense.
Bill Bill I love you son!
This man is super talented. I connect with his music and can just vibe to it man. Hopefully he comes around to Ohio soon

This video hits harder than the song it’s self
Already Memorized this one
To see him come from 20 of us at show to having Red open for him..I couldn't be prouder.
Man doesn't this song f****** me all up
You can drive drunk no problem. Drunk crashing is what you can’t do
Yeah until you don't turn on a signal light than get pulled over get a DUI .
Helps me through my life. Been there before. Keep this up. Your killing it. Gives hope.
Am i the only mom who cries when she hears this song..... unfortunately there's a lot of us moms who can relate...love your music Koe Wetzel and i have an awesome picture of my son and his friends that they took with you
I went to a concert backing 2018.... Got absolutely fuggin hammered. Anyways he has always delivered since his Out On Parole album. Love this guy
@koe wetzel wtf really?!
I feel like hes tryna send a message without saying what he needs to say👀
My first thought when I listened to this song. You can't write that kind of pain, and sing it like this..unless you've personally been there.
Straight facts
SUPER LIT TO SEE KOE IN LOUISVILLE ON THE 21ST LETS GOOOO
If the words of this song don't speak to you, I'm happy for you.
Waited for this. Not disappointed!
