I've noticed you have some issues against some of the vulgar things in American movies. As a Christian in the USA, I have similar issues. Which is why I like watching the "made for TV" versions of movies where they edit out the naughty scenes & nudity and bleep out or dub over vulgar language. I've known a fair number of Christians who don't watch any rated R movies, and some who only watch rated G or Veggie Tales, and even some who don't even watch TV at all.
I think that you can't censor the harsh realities in real life, but you can mitigate exposure. So likewise, I'm not too strict, but I do draw a line when i think a show/movie is glorifying evil, like Saw for example. I've never seen it, but I've seen the preview and that was enough for me to know.
"Stop being joyful man, so many people died." I love that sentiment. As a Star Wars fan, I welcome you into this universe and look forward to your future reactions.
It is strange how happy she was at the end after her entire planet was destroyed lol
I watched Star Wars in 1977 when I was eight. Like everyone, I saw it in a theater, because that was the only way to see it. And most of us saw it many times. It changed our lives!
The version you watched is the 1997 v which has mucho CGI and a big change to Han's first scene.
in 1977 my dad took me to see it for my 13th birthday, and I never recovered! and like all the original fans said when the 1997 version came out, "Han shot first!!!"
I was 9!! (My brother was 8)
I was four years old. My eleven year old brother took me to see it with his friend. I instantly became a huge fan. And of course grew up playing with the toys.
Same!
Some of the desert scenes were filmed in Tunisia
The Lars family homestead was filmed at the Hotel Sidi Driss
Most desert scenes indeed shot in Tunisia, but a few shots made in “Death Valley”, California.
There was no CGI for the original trilogy (until the remastered versions). All practical effects. Ground breaking for the time.
This movie was entirely done with practical effects originally. They remastered the movie and did CGI sparingly in this to enhance what was already on screen. There are videos where they show the original with and without the added CGI enhancement. You are going to be surprised at how much wasn't CGI.
I hate all the CGI added later. I’m fine with just the flaws fixed, not the added garbage.
I haven't seen this movie in over 20 years. It was nice seeing it again with you guys.
Ha ha....the reaction to the opening music was priceless. It's loud in the theater but it's come to be expected as part of the Star Wars experience. It's as much a part of Star Wars as lightsabers and stormtroopers missing what they shoot at.
In the Star Wars universe, droids are basically slaves. Everyone has them, and there's not really any way to tell which side they're on, because they're only serving their current master.
Plus after the events of the Clone Wars, they suffered intense discrimination due to the droid army used by the Separatists.
It is actually kind of crazy there’s basically an accepted form of slavery in the Star Wars universe.
As a kid seeing this in the theater, one of the most thought-provoking moments was in the opening scene where prisoner droids are being marched right alongside prisoner humans.
I never understood why they designed the droids in this universe to be sentient? Like, if they only ever intended for them to be used as slave labor, why program them for self-awareness and emotions? If you create a robot and then give it a soul, it's more than just a "robot" at that point. It becomes an artificial lifeform. They could have designed simple robots with basic programming which just followed orders. But these droids express happiness, sadness, fear, and even depression. To use droids like this as slave labor is cruelty and inhumane.
No.
They did Chewbacca dirty. He put in as much work as Han and Luke, but he didn't get a medal from Leia. They always gotta keep the Wookies down.
Now you have to do at least the first 6 movies ✌️
Correction: *ALL* six movies.
...plus Rogue One. That movie is actually pretty important. It _had_ to fix a major plot hole.
This guy gets it @@michaelsaunders1400
Ramadan mubarak. May the Force be with you and peace be upon you.
Thank you for being you! There are many sharing in many directions. I love to see so many people reacting to things similarly to me. It makes me know....truly, most of us share similar values and feelings about things. May you be blessed. This is one channel that blesses me! Thank you so much!!!
You are so welcome
Awesome video fellas please do more ❤
The film was originally shot in 1977, then as CGI advanced, the Special Editions were released in 1997. Most of the creatures you see in the first arc of the film were not present in the 1977 version or were stationary puppets. So, Jabba originally _was_ a human being in 1977.
Now I am excited! Awesome movie choice!
I’m a Star Wars nerd and I’m so glad you guys are watching this classic
Wow, this is an epic story with many movies for you to enjoy, I hope. There was no real CGI back then, no computers in film making really at all. It was all costumes, makeup, practical effects and they made small models of things and filmed them. It was ahead of its time back then. They get better as you go. :)
I saw this in theatres when I was a child around 11 years old. Loved it ever since.
This is the first one so it’s just basically introducing the characters but as you continue to watch the next one which is Empire Strikes back Episode 5 it gets better and then you will understand the story more. You definitely have to do The Empire Strikes Back episode 5 then Return of the Jedi episode 6
Yep, you nailed it. R2D2 is the GOAT. And you got it on the first episode.
Hello! Local Star Wars geek coming to you with lore and facts with constant updates as I see your questions! The solders in white are titled Storm Troopers and their wearing armor made of Plasteel which disperses blaster fire (the laser guns) across the plate lessening the impact. Unless shot many times, it’s a good chance the storm trooper inside is alive but injured and out cold.
Deflector shield are areas of protective energy that are emitted by shield generators that are commonly installed on ships. They protect ships from energy stacks like blaster lasers but can only defend so much before they over heat and break down.
23:48 remember when Kenobi said he would turn off the tractor Ray? That’s the central generator for it.
I really like that you’re covering these movies now. I would love for you to cover the rest of the Star Wars franchise. There are a ton of movies and series to choose from.
Somebody else probably pointed it out by now, but it’s interesting when Han Solo calls Jabba the Hutt a good human being. That scene was originally removed, and it was put back in along with a bunch of other material decades later, when CGI was finally available. By that time, the other movies had come out, and they had changed the character of Jabba the Hutt from a human to a slug like alien. I guess it still works, because it can be taken is him poking fun.
"2001:A Space Odyssey", "Godfather 1 you did. Part 2 is a must. "Deer Hunter", Apocalypse Now", "Platoon", "Caddyshack", "Animal House", "Blues Brothers"... old folk treasures.
The CGI was added decades after the movie was made.
As-salaam alykum gentlemen welcome to the Star Wars Universe if this is your first time experiencing it, you’ve taken a huge step into a much larger world, and made the right choice to start with the original trilogy first and not the prequel trilogy, that’s how every first timer should start the franchise off. Good luck on your journey and MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.
Old version beter then this new type (sw films)
If you can find it, I highly recommend you watch the behind the scenes material; it explains how George Lucas & his team managed to do all of the effects in the 70s, stuff that still amazes people today (especially the lightsabers).
9:06 Peter Cushing. He's my 2nd favorite actor.
There is a running joke that Stormtroopers cannot hit the broad side of a barn, but the opening of a new hope shows just how accurate they are. There were also times in the death star where they shoot and hit the same spot multiple times which was all intentional. ROTJ the same thing happens in the scene where Leia first meets wicket and are found by a pair of scout troopers.
Stormtroopers have better accuracy than what is found in real life police SWAT teams or even from military special forces teams.
You should check out the spoof movie SPACEBALLS
If I remember right, the desert planet scene was filmed in Tunisia
The Jawa language is actually a real spoken language. When making the film they took words and phrases from the Zulu language and speed them up to sound alien.
6:46
Interesting Fact for you, gentlemen:
The scenes of Tattooine were filmed in Tunisia, and the rifles used by the sandpeople were modeled after Jezel rifles used by Bedoin Shepherds
When you are done the first 3 movies you should watch a behind the scenes movie about how they did the special effects back then with no CGI
This was lovely.
Thanks...
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love you guys. Wanna watch the best movie of alll time? A great story and Journey? The Good The Bad The Ugly! Best film of all time!
love you too.
There was anywhere between 1,186,295-1,206,293 total personnel on the death star in ANH there were also families of those personnel on board as well.
Yeah and no health insurance 😂
Noo the desert not CGI! 😊
This is to the two brothers the force is something you feel it's about the choices you make if you choose to do wrong you will do wrong if you choose to do right those are your choices if you feel doing good you will do good if you feel the do evil you will do evil so make the right choices.
Its a great movie and I love the plot too.
Fast see the 5 and 6 episods too 😊
Oh my, a few new Padawan learners... Star wars is such a huge story.... 12 movies and 10 shows or something like that. Plus several books and video games which all tell part of the story.
I wouldn't go as far as to call the plot "shit" 😂
Its formulaic, sure, and very linear. Simple but effective.
George Lucas based it upon Joseph Campbell's "Hero' s Journey" which says that all stories since the beginning of time, share a similar structure and archetypal characters (very abridged, of course). So that's why it feels familiar and... "shit" one could say hahaha.
Hope you enjoyed it.
To think just how strong Vader would have been had the events of episode 3 been different and he had not been stuck in the suit. What you see in the original trilogy is only a fraction of what Vader's true potential was supposed to be.
When you watch the 3 original Star Wars be sure to watch the original theatrical version and not the updated cgi trash cut. Enjoi!
🤩👍
You two need to get a splitter and another set of earbuds/headphones.
Subbed.
I cant wait until you watch Episode 5. After you watched Episode 6, proceed to Episode 1, 2, 3.
1. Sir. Alec Guinness/Obi-Wan didn't want the part. Being a Shakespearian actor, he thought the entire idea was silly and was beneath him, but his wife talked him into taking the part.
2. The shrug Chewy gives Luke after he scares the tiny black droid is 🤪
3. These movies were put out in a certain order because there was limited technology and Lucas used and pushed forward the images needed to make a quality product. The best way to watch the is in the order they came out. We had to wait years for the next one. There was no internet where we had access to them whenever we wanted.
4. No need to go into anything after VI. Disney took over and the quality dropped. I realize you have to.
5. The only CGI was put in for the 25th anniversary package in this film are the critters the stormtroopers were riding at the beginning of the search for the robots, a couple of the huge critters outside the pub and the scene with Jabba the Hutt. Those were put in later after CGI was available. Otherwise, everything is what we had in 1977.
6. Obi-Wan sacrificed himself after he told Vader he would be stronger than ever. He went back into the force. He knows it's Luke's job to take over.
7. The awkwardness in the detention space is because Ford didn't know his lines. It was kept in the movie anyway because it worked.
8. The next two are the best of the ix Lucas films. Enjoy
I wonder what people in middle-eastern countries think of movies like Robocop or A History of Violence
You've taken your first step into a larger world.
Next step.....Empire Strikes Back.
back to the future? waiting for that ☝️
COMING UP SOON INCHALAH.
Its a great remake of several of Lucas's favourite films, The Dam Busters, The Hidden Fortress etc.
All great filmmakers steal from the best.
Awesome movie. Great reaction. Glad you guys are doing movies, now. By the way, yo mama so fat, Obi Wan said, "That's no moon. That's yo mama". lmao 🤣🤣🤣
Please do Empire Strikes Back
A blessed Ramadan to you both

Time for you guys to watch DUNE.
Lol..I think it's hilarious you already caught on to how bad the Storm Troopers aim is. That has been a running joke for decades 😂
Did Han keep the money??
Volumes are all wrong here.
CGI in the 70s?

Please react to kingdom of heaven history of christian and muslim pleaseeee
This will be a new religion in 1500 years.
Edit: Samurai that have tapped into the Christian Holy Spirit.
Like Dune combining Islam & Taoism and Buddhism & Christianity combining, so there are two religions. The passive one & the every-day one.
Star Wars was Luca's commentary on the Vietnam Conflict(and could be addressed to what's happening as I type this Inshallah to the people suffering and dying)about a Fascist Empire(in this case The U.S.)and a group of diverse E.T. species's who chose against all Odds to fight the Empire. (In Lucas's case it was The V.C.). Yes there are many other aspects of multiple faiths, parables, fairy tales, etc. that Lucas incorporated into Star Wars as well. I hope you 2 watch Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi, the 2 other movies in this trilogy. Thank you for watching this great epic movie. Peace and many blessing to you 2.
Sorry, but you have it completely wrong. He was telling the typical time-tested tale of good and evil, heroes and villains. It had nothing to do with Vietnam.
@@mcm95403Cool if that makes you sleep better at night, you believe what you want to believe...
The movie reactions are cool but I miss your old reactions! ;(

Star Wars is sci-fi is for kids.
Dune is sci-fi for adults.
Keep in mind, this was made for kids.
Basically George Lucas (admittedly so) ripped off the old Akiro Kurasawa samurai film THE HIDDEN FORTRESS in making Star Wars
"worst soldiers I have ever seen". Watch US v. Wagner. Syrian soldiers... not a joke. new worst.
these guys fake? doing a fake accents? I don't doubt that they r middle eastern, I'm just saying I wouldn't be suprised if they were born in England or America 3th or 4th gen faking an accent is all I'm saying. They have seen these movies faking suprise.
We wish.
No offense, but y’all are the “sand people”. Blame George Lucas, not me.
Life tip: If you feel the need to say "no offense" before saying something, don't say it.
@@t.j._fury that typically is true, but in this case I’m saying “sorry to be pointing it out” that George Lucas did this not super cool thing, but FYI he did. Hope that makes sense. Love your channel
