I'm going to Brookes this year (in private accommodation though) and I've been enjoying your videos. I'm a mature student (only 23 though) so I hope to meet other mature students. Great video as always :)
Hey quick question Im thinking of going to Brookes next year and I'm a mature student as well lol 23 Did you do a access course or did u do a levels or did u have experience around your chosen course to get in ? I was thinking of doing A elevls to help my application form Thanks X
Rubbish uni, no different to any other former polytechnic, no career prospects and pretending to be students/graduates of the the proper uni across town that really does put you on a path to a top notch career.
@@j.kennedy7267 be realistic and unbiased mate and accept it can't compete with Russell group universities. I accept it's an "okish" uni but is it a top uni? NO
@@j.kennedy7267 I get you. 48th position is far from the worst ie bolton, Wolverhampton etc. What I find strange is that graduates from here try to hide that they went to Oxford Brookes as when someone asks them which uni did you go to they just say "Oxford" and are deliberately trying to be vague.
Hi. First of all, you're just *completely* wrong. Brookes may not be a Russell, but that doesn't make it a "rubbish uni" by any stretch. The course I'm doing is actually ranked 1st in the UK for research and teaching standards and 12th overall in the world. Maybe actually do some research before spouting opinions not based in fact?
@@shah5757 A degree is a degree. People look at the grade you achieved within that. No one cares about where the degree comes from, but it is a top uni for some things, and also has a high progression to higher education and careers of around 82%. Ranked higher than Lincoln (a notorious gold standard uni) and UWE Bristol (known for high teaching standards in multiple subjects). It’s not about uni snobbery, it’s about career progression so sit down and get off your high horse
i can confirm cheney is popular with a lot of richer students, private school kids i was there in my first year it was really good
Are the people friendly?
