@JayGetsAbout thanks Jay, I'm now a little worried as I have paid much more than what you paid and not being funny, I didn't think what you paid was good value 😉 again thanks so much for answering my question👍👍👍 I've subscribed aswell 😀
@@Somersetmanwalking It really was OK. It was our second time in at Nodes Point - the first time was in one of the more expensive lodges (we got a good deal well off season) it was Billingham and was pretty new. So, by comparison Dimbola was not as good. However, it wasn't bad. The park is great and we found the staff really nice on both occasions. Of course, it helps that it is the Isle of Wight - our absolute favourite destination. I am sure you'll enjoy your holiday there. Please do let me know how you get on.
@@JayGetsAbout will do Jay we have visited Nodes Point many times when our kids were growing up and love the island, this is our first time back to Nodes in well over 20 years. the only thing that concerned me was that when we booked it they put it was 20ft wide and it didn't look it on your vlog, was it? i also thought your vlog was great. i will be doing a review on the lodge. we won't be using the facilities at the park much and will be mostly using it as a base. i am hoping to do a few Vlogs on the island about various bits and pieces weather permitting. Best wishes Darren
@@Somersetmanwalking Firstly thanks for the positive comment about the vlog - I appreciate it. It is a steep learning curve but hopefully I will keep improving. It must have been that wide. All the lodges are listed as that and they are two vans wide (which are usually 10/12ft). It certainly felt roomy - especially compared with a standard van. You do notice it when you walk in. I will say the bedrooms don't feel massively bigger. They have used the space to have two bathrooms and the second bedroom has a walk-thru type wardrobe through to a bathroom with a full bath. I certainly feel people will enjoy that extra space because you can be together but can separate if you know what I mean. A standard van will have you on top of each other. Jay
May i ask what the name of your lodge was please Jay? we are off there next week and have booked a dimbola. Many thanks, Darren
Hi Darren - I've just checked my booking and yes, it was Dimbola Lodge. I hope you have a good time - we certainly did.
