This album is my number one favorite from my childhood. I'm in shock to hear it again more than 30 years later!! We, unfortunately, sold this record at a yard sale and I was devastated. Hearing it again now was unreal!!
This is the version I remember when I was a kid. Mum and dad visited Disneyland in 1980 and brought back the record to us kids in Australia - was 5 years later we actually got to go and see it live. I missed seeing it 2 years ago when I got to take my kids to DL. Happy music, happy memories.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Disneyland proudly presents our spectacular festival pageant of nighttime magic and imagination. In thousands of sparkling lights and electro synthe magnetic musical sounds. The main street electrical parade!
I worked at Disneyland in the 1980s.. the music changed over time, and this is the version I remember and loved most. There were many speakers playing different parts of this soundtrack, some in the vehicles going by. So it was like a 6 or 7 or 8 channel recording and you felt immersed in it. For example, at the beginning of the piece there are some glissandos, and those moved in space around Main Street. Really a brilliant piece of engineering. The parade was a sophisticated production for the time, but would there be much to improve on today?
i am breaking out in a sweat just watching the label spin like i did 40 years ago. i was not gentle with my records as a kid so now this record is gone
you wont believe there is this www.discogs.com/Unknown-Artist-The-Official-Album-Of-DisneylandWalt-Disney-World/master/356690 then there is this www.discogs.com/Unknown-Artist-Main-Street-Electrical-Parade/master/431983 and this www.discogs.com/Unknown-Artist-Main-Street-Electrical-Parade/release/7693191
this was from the 1980 Official Album of Disneyland/Walt Disney World if i'm not mistaken although by that point the track was slightly outdated as 1 section had it's music changed twice and the Finale was changed to the To Honor America unit.
This is from the 70's/80's Disneyland/Walt Disney World soundtrack. Though the cassette version cuts off before the it's a small world comes on, I know this because I used to have the tape version.
This was probably recorded in 1977 given the Briny Deep instead of Pinocchio underwater and the disco finale. In the 60 years collection we hear the 1977-1979 version up to Pete’s Dragon combined with the intro and outro from the 1985 soundtrack. Which makes it in theory look like the 1979 soundtrack
This is EXACTLY how it sounded on the record/tape. I had the tape version of this record, if it is speed than the Disneyland speed it up, not the uploader.
I like the zip a dee doo dah part, you can imagine seeing a parade float of the brer rabbit's house and the brer guys and uncle Remus are disco dancing. It also sounds like a Brazilian disco club during zip a dee doo dah. I also like how the it's a small world and Mickey mouse club sound in this.
Sir Jake while that would have made for a neat set of floats, this music was used in the Finale of the parade from 1977 & '78. what the floats the music is from was actually a series of neon images of Disney characters
Was this the album with MSEP on the cover? I may still have my copy somewhere. It took decades for longer versions to be released. I listened to this album so much, now when I hear certain songs in the park I expect another one to follow it.

Aquellos discos de vinil, cuantos recuerdos, mi sobrino de 10 años los veia como una novedad, como era posible que una antigüedad funcione
i totally love the main st. electrical parade music . it just brings you joy , and takes you back to a better time.

I had the cassette version of this that I bought at Children's Palace back in 1986.

I remember this was in a show where someone went to Disneyland and it was a suspense show and that big snail with lights went by and that was playing.

Neato! The speed is a little faster than normal, but who cares?! This still sounds great!

I was born at this year!
I believe this is the PAL version. Since PALs are always high-pitched, our sped up
I remember playing this on record when I was a kid ?
Why is it only 5 minutes long? I seem to remember it being waaaay longer on my 12" vinyl version in the '80's...
It is playing at slightly higher RPMs than normal.

El Chapulín Colorado (1979)
Chespirito bastardea las canciones de disney
EL CHAPULIN COLORADO
NO CONTABAN CON MI ASTUCIA
PAL Edition
I think your turntable is spinning a bit too fast...I have the same record and mine sounds identical to the original version in the parks :)
By the way this piece is called 'Baroque Hoedown'.
Yes. And it was originally recorded by a European Moog synthesizer duo Gershon Kingsley and Jean-Jacques Perrey.
Missing the introduction. This is why i dont like when they put things on studio recordings. Leave out so much
Very bad sound!!!!!
Wel,l it's slightly better than my copy.
I remember playing this on record when I was a kid ?
