"You should have thrown yourself from the tower." "It's like, 40 stories up. That would've been suicide, my Lord!" "Maybe... but it would have been legal."
Sean Connery was actually very good in this. He had to play a just, upstanding, good king while also an older, mature lover who gets betrayed, as the legends tell... Its actually a difficult character to play!
"The Law will judge you!" Wow. That simple statement carries great weight. Arthur was so furious that wanted to end Lancelot's life right then and there. This point in the scene shows the stark contrast between Arthur and Malagant: Malagant would pursue vengance, eliminating all who would stand in his way. Arthur pursued justice for all the people of Camelot, even if was to come at great cost to himself. "No one is above The (Law). Especially the King." -Bowen, DragonHeart
Poor Arthur, expecting as a 60 yr old geriatric to have a young lady choose him over an athletic daring young upstart like Lancelot. It just aint gonna happen playa. He could basically be her father.
Ok, so I'm 29, and I totally would have chosen King Arthur a.k.a. Sean Connery! Plus, am I the only one who thought Julia and Sean had far more chemistry than Julia and Richard?
Before Guinevere was set to marry Arthur, she was saved by Lancelot from Malagants men. She was smitten by Lancelot but didn’t want to accept it. Lancelot did warn Arthur beforehand. If Arthur believes everything is his without question, then with all due respect, he’s no better than Malagant.
Arthur ask guinevere during the stable scene after he gave guinevere a white horse, he ask if she wants to be released from the engagement he will accepted & although he loves her very much at that moment he also willing to accept the fact if she choose to be released,in fact arthur clearly said dont have to married him because his father request or because her country needs protection, but guinevere instead say yes want to married so its the queen who is at fault in here from the beginning
All that Guinevere had to do was to give Lancelot a quick thank you kiss upon his cheek & be done with it. That way she wouldn't have never gotten caught by her husband the King.

I love that Arthur is gentle to Guinevere, he only snaps at her once while Arthur is harsh to Lancelot and yells at him.
I didn't like that she didn't deserve gentle treatment
@@davidcarty7584She deserves it rough and harsh?
Equality!
These scenes just randomly popped into my head. To my pleasant surprise, it just happens to be available right here on youtube! :)
LOVE this movie ❣
Davos Seaworth was like "let me gtfoh" lol
Agravain’s like “Um…I’m just gonna….I ain’t part of this.”
"Ah, I see by my watch that hasn't been invented yet that it's 'nope' o'clock."
9:25 to 9:33 “You will be charged with treason under our laws…defend yourself in court…THE LAW WILL JUDGE YOU!!!!!!!!!!”

Dang Arthur. It was just a thank you kiss.
Yeah “ just a thank you kiss” female logic.
Didnt look like just a thank you kiss to me, looked like I want to jump your bones.
@@MrMagoo-rg8er I think it was a joke

Your will chooses me, your HEART chooses HIM.

The friend she tells you not to worry about. 😂
Very underrated movie.
Sean Connery was the epitome of class.
Lol maybe the characters he played but definitely not in real life. When you have a moment, look it up.
I feel like Julia Ormond’s performance here is the same as the one she did in Legend of the Fall.
I agree so close in roles, she is so lovely in her characters and she is so pretty.
No It s not the same at all l get diffrent vibes watching these 2 movies and believe me l ve seen them many Times

Lancelot saved Guinevere not once, not twice but three times. Where TF was King Arthur? Thats why she loved him.

Kind of reminds me of that old Eagles song... Taquila Sunrise! ... NO?
All that Guinevere had to do was to give Lancelot a quick thank you kiss upon his cheek & be done with it. That way she wouldn't have never gotten caught by her husband the King.
Era só Lancelot ir embora quando perceber q estava se apaixonando por ela. Simples assim.
You just maybe better, than any other world 🌎 leader ...could be, might be
Imagine her with no teeth brother and your pain will ease quick
Ну она правда любила двух мужиков.

I ship Arthur and Guinevere in any version of King Arthur. NEVER Lancelot and Guinevere.
