    Your passion about this plane shows, who else would put out a video with such a rotten cold? I liked A2A planes in FSX and bought this Comanche 250 on release, I am not disappointed and no buyers remorse here, unlike with some other planes. This, in my opinion makes MSFS2020 more like the simulator I was hoping for on release and I feel you're right that there will be patches for the damage etc. I am also looking forward to seeing what the livery artists can do with it. Thanks for the video.

    It's why I was waiting for 3 years for A2A to release this plane. Put simply, it's the feeling of ownership vs. "let's fly whatever, it has 0 consequences if I fly it poorly."
    I guess that group of simmers who want to feel like they own their plane is a minority, I dunno.
    And as a student pilot, I like having to keep good habits sharp, the walkarounds are super important, checking fuel, super important, checking oil quantity and quality, uber important. Run-ups, NEVER SKIP, it really helps make me feel like I'm keeping myself sharp, avoid bad habits for real while I save up to fly again.

    Persistance is a big thing for me. I been flying the 172SP since that was my favorite GA in place of X-Plane REP mod. I love how this plane keeps everything, it warms up with the heater as your away from the game. I’m really hoping they do the same with the charger because I’m not really liking the “instant charge” I like things having to take time to get done. Also loving the fact that we don’t have to RESTART THE WHOLE FLIGHT to repair it. That’s a big one too.

    • @juanwhick1691

      Also hoping they fix the outside sound of the plane to more match the sound of the engine from the inside, they sound like two different planes and no starter sound outside as well as showing smoke like you tried to show. Hopefully comes in future updates as I noticed a lot of the files are “to do”. Also with the flaps I continuously break mine with over speed lol. Still figuring out how to get it slowed down right. And one more thing, Hypoxia hopefully soon gets implemented. I swear I passed out in the 737 before but it could have been the Zibo mod i don’t remember.

    I had a weird nostalgic feeling and searched for A2A yesterday, saw a youtube about this, thought it was a work in progress, found out it was out, bought it sight unseen, now still waiting for msfs to reinstall. That's how much I love accusim. The passion and passion is the word, behind A2A is and was like no other in the industry. Enough to get me back into simming when nothing else could. I'm buzzing rn and can't wait to dive in.

    I deployed the flaps on the final approach to the runway once. I was flying around Spain just role-playing i just bought an used plane. Suddenly i noticed something wasn't working as intended. The behaviour of the plane with full flaps deployed was weird, like they didn't drop at all. Once landed, i switched to external view. To my surprise, one flap was fully deployed while the other one wasn't.
    If you set your wear rate to x5 or x10 in the tablet, the chances of things breaking increases.

    I loved Comanche in FSX/P3D, I purchased Cherokee, Comanche, C172, C182 and T-6 = all P3D AccuSim aircrafts. I will buy it soon for MSFS as Im back to FS, but for me it is not systems, but how it looks and sounds. Everything in MSFS works same from damage model as it worked in P3D/FSX, I never used those features and will not in MSFS. If there was some stuff "broken" I do not mind, just repair everything, If I remember correctly I finally turned off those features.
    Was mad from Airfoilabs C172 in X-Plane when I switched from P3D, they added similar functionality with update and enforce it, no chance to disable it and you was forced to update as it was fixing some major bugs.
    So it really matter what you want and expect from flight sim. For me it is great fun, just sit in plane, even with engines running ready to flight at runway, watch same scenery, do not mind any rules.. I will bet with you that is majority of flight sim users. Then there are geeks which will appreciate AccuSim features, but it is nothing new, old school simmers know what A2A doing.

    I almost ran 40 hours in my Comanche and it was a fantastic experience so far.
    I started to travel along the U.S. West Coast South to North from San Diego. In the moment I stay in Portland Oregon and I had a few surprises. First the internal oil pump died and I had to figure out what caused the trouble. Using the checklist for emergencies could have helped finding it out faster. Almost crashed until in the last moment I saw fuel pressure was down.
    The other thing to always keep in the back of your head is Carburetor icing. Watch the Manifold Pressure regularly and as soon as it drops without changing anying pull the handle full.
    Lets see how long i can fly this plane until something critical happens.

    Can someone help me understand something? When I land and go around, sometimes, the manifold pressure just can't go above 10 inHg. A minute or two later, the engine just wants to shut down. The max manifold goes down and I have to land/turn off. I don't think I've done any damage to the plane, and think that maybe it's something else.

    • @almightyIrie
      @almightyIrie ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bulletstop100 I used to fly FSX, flying DCS and MSFS nowadays (bit of IL2 once in a while).. While most of these sims allow for random failures, non of these account for persistence. I load up my DCS Hornet and it's always 100%, unless i manually set failure rate. But with A2A simulation and their accusim range of products, you get full persistence. Meaning you fly one day, and the next time you get into the plane every bit of wear and tear built up previously is still there. That means maintenance needs to be done (via simple mouse clicks) once in a while as fluids deteriorate over time, engine cylinders can break down (especially from misusing) etc etc.. Their addons go incredibly deep, that's why i was so hyped to see Scott Gentile (from A2A) and Matt Wagner (from ED) to meet up at an expo a few years back (there was a picture on ED forums about that as well). Nothing transpired from this as of yet, but one can still hope.

    While I love A2A, If I were to buy the Comanche, It would be the 3rd time I buy this airframe! For someone who has never had a Accu-Sim A2A airframe then yeah I am sure they would find this attractive. Not my case as I´ve had the FSX and P3D version. I think A2A missed a good opportunity to Introduce a NEW airframe for all to enjoy! I wont get Into how much I spent In add-ons for FSX, then came along P3D(x64 bit), and again spent a lot on add-ons for that. This time around I have become very conservative with what add-ons I buy for MSFS2020, otherwise this becomes a money drain real fast, and let´s not speak about X-Plane! 🙃 Also prices have become very accessible, I mean you can get a study level 737 from PMDG for 65 bucks, or now the recent Just Flight Folkker! So what´s the point of spending the same money again?

    • @SimUKReviews

      I think they went with the comanche because;
      A) they own the physical airplane.
      B) they are most familiar with it.
      C) lower level of complexity.
      All of the above are designed to ensure accusim does what it is meant to do in this new simulator, before moving on to bigger more complex aircraft.
      I still maintain much of the 3rd party changes we will see in 2024 is directly related to A2A and accusim....waiting g for confirmation on that.

      The reason why they went for the Comanche is that they had full access to the airplane and they owned it so they could do weird things to it. Nothing unique about how this Comanche flies ? Lol you've got no clue what you're talking about I'm afraid. How this flies is exactly what sets it apart from anything else in MSFS.
