If the patient is conscious or semi conscious they will be breathing so ABC applies, however if the patient is unconscious checking for pulse first would be more appropriate, CAB, so you can start CPR immediately. Patients without a pulse don't tend to bleed until you start CPR.

So you would leave a female casualty to die rather than risk the very remote chance that it's a crazy person who will sue you for touching them up? We females would probably be grateful you helped us. Chest compressions are life saving not foreplay, you know that, right?
