As a Wizards fan I think the biggest takeaway is that we now have a bunch of guys that are 2 years away. Our team has gotten much longer, much quicker, and much more versatile than it was when we were playing for the play in a few years ago. The downside is that none of these guys have actually figured their games out yet so they don't actually know what they can or can't do. We are obviously lottery bound for at least one more year probably two, but that's OK because once they actually figure out what everyone's ideal role is I see the bones of a competitive NBA roster on the far side already. Also if you are looking for early season content I would give Bilal a look. His game has improved massively from a year ago, and he is only started on adding to his bag.
Didn't he have a two game stretch where he shot under 10% from the field shooting over 14 shots a game? I don't think people are sheep, they see those type of numbers and judge players off of it. Problem is Summer league a pointless thing that shouldn't even exist, except the NBA wants to make a couple of extra cents. A bunch of players who never even met each other are cobbled together with virtually no time to practice and play fake games. There should be a rookie/NBDL mini camp instead of the mockery of organized basketball that is the summer league.
Yeah these people don't know basketball. They're the same people who called Wemby a bust after his first Summer League game. And yet they didn't learn their lesson.
Never underestimate french athlete, to go to the nba we have to show more value, european players who are in the top draft should not be call a bust after few games...
He looks so mobile for his size and he has some handle as well. I really like his shooting form from 3 but inside the 3, he needs a bit different of a shot form. I would love to see more in terms of how he operates in the short roll and his interior post moves. He seems to do hanging fadeaways from 3 ft away when a hook would be much more efficient.
🫡Sup, I'm sorry but I'm completely fine if my 7tf Center has no blow by abilities. Goodness. We just recently had Daniel Gafford and Porzingis...really good to great centers, no blow by abilities. Sarr will be fine. His actual biggest issue is that has to unlearn all the things he learned from playing with so many different teams in the last 4 yrs. Come by and check him out again at the AllStar Break. Betcha he will be way more polished 👍
He'll be valuable to a team and one of the better bigs in the league, idk whether he'll get to that allstar JJJ level or just be like a above average big like how Horford is rn
Sarr is an absolute monster. He is a 7'1 Wemby Like Wemby he is a 3, 4 or 5 Same IQ Can do everything, even handle the ball. He just has a shy personality for now but he's a dormant giant who's about to wake up. ROY and DPOY candidate
1) no, he is not a 7'1 Wemby. 2) Wemby was never a 3. 3) Sarr was never a 3. 4)watch an interview with Wemby, there's plenty of them, and say again that they have the same basketball IQ. 5)Wemby plays better as a 5 right now while Sarr plays better at the 4 right now.
It seems like Sarr has great fundamentals as a rookie, but I don't know if attempting more than 5 threes a game is where he should be focusing on. He should be playing PnR and using his height in the paint. Then develop his shot as the season goes on.
Every sentence said, if you simply change the name Alex Sarr to James Wiseman, will fit, the height the leap the quickness and the "shooting potential". Even tho I do not think Sarr will sink that low, but they are both the same type, great athlete, don't know how to play baksetball.
The kid has star potential, lets relax it is the wizards after all but I do love the Val pick up and sliding sarr to of I think he can learn slot from him.. We gotta stop judging these 19yr olds in pre season and summer league
Let the kid develop and lets stop with the over analysis. I'm pretty sure nobody was talking about the Joker his first few years in the league. Obviously Sarr hasn't played a lot of basketball and it's going to take time for him to develop. People just need to chill out and stop acting like if he isn't making All-star next year then he's a bust.
He's a good player it's just he didn't expect to be put in a useless team like wizards like bro nobody wants to be their Hawks is much better than wizards
It’s honesty great for these European, Canadian, and Australian guys that they weren’t raised in America. They become super hyped and overrated like Sarr, Ben Simmons, Anthony Bennett, and Josh Giddey. I would just advise anyone looking to have an easier path to the NBA to just take their child overseas so the media can hype them up. 😴

His 3s in preseason have been giving me hope. I’m interested to see who the Wizards trade away, give guys like Bub and Kyshawn more minutes.

It's crazy how much people are sheeps and just immediately copy what everyone else says (aka everyone calling him a bust after summer league)

Atlanta could’ve had a monster front court pairing him with Okongwu
Yeah i thought he made a huge mistake NOT wanting to go to Atlanta a big like him with Trae Young would have been amazing
He sucks
@@ImichaelperryI'm glad he didn't
Zaccharie Risacher or Dalton Knecht would be cool to see next!
Will for sure cover both of them
Kyshaun George -- immediately surprising by his "Kyle Anderson-like" play!

thanks for the vid
I think the center position suits him better. He has enough mobility to blow by a big man but not a forward.
A good comp for Sarr right now would be DET Josh Smith

I think with more experience, work, Sarrs gonna shoot it well. His mechanics look really good. Like on the low He's used to shooting that shot

Realistically it would be Bub
With Jordan Poole ? Only a desperate Wizards fan would believe in this
buddy Poole is going to be in China as soon as that contract is up
