I normally cut and put them into sleeves first, but this is definitely one of the best feelings in photography. Thanks for sharing..

Call it old-fashioned, call it nostalgia, call it...…….whatever you want, however, there is something about film that really does it for me, and the 'look' cannot be easily replicated digitally. Even the anticipation of having to wait to see images that you shot weeks or months prior. Yes, you could do the same with digital, however, somehow for me, it is not the same.
I pray that film keeps being produced, and is 'affordable' and accessible for my lifetime.
    Thank you for sharing.

Really great, the detail in the grand tetons shot (first of the second roll) is sick 👌🏼

The pilot portrait is quite sweet too. Makes me wanna shoot some more E6.

Seriously. My wife and I were there this summer and none of my shots came out that well straight out of the camera.

Was this expired Velvia 50? The slides seem to lack the punch and saturation of Velvia 50. Greens, Reds and Blues should really pop, so maybe it was more the subject matter. Maybe the lab didn't have their have their processing right on. Do you think the meter on the prism was underexposing slightly? Slides are so much less forgiving than negative film. Of course some of it could be lost in the youtube video compression. Good luck!

Just to clarify, the dam at Page is the Glen Canyon Dam, after 50 years still a matter of controversy over its negative impact on the river system and Grand Canyon versus irrigation of desert and the lawns of suburban Phoenix.

Could you please make a video with how you expose correctly on the film cameras?!

Just curious, how do you handle your film during security checks at the airport? Do you get them handchecked, or do you trust the baggage scan won't mess with the end result of the pictures?

Stefan Litster For sure, I'll be keeping that in mind for my next travels. I recently went on a trip and decided to go digital for the sake of ease. Found it much less fulfilling, guess the small hassles with film are worth it in the end

Joshua Lonsako Like Stefan said, it doesn't hurt to ask the officers on duty for a handcheck. Just ask nicely and they might just help you out. For my most recent trip to Central Asia and back home, I had to go through a total of 7 airports including my own country's. Managed to skip all except two; Urumqi (6 scans in total because my flight was cancelled and rescheduled. Also, most paranoid airport, though for valid reasons) and Uzbekistan. Still, I managed to skip a lot simply by asking and preparing a slip of paper in the languages they speak, explaining why I can't let the films go through the scanner (incremental damage basically).

What focal lengths are you using? Pilot Jamie and the others?

He mentioned the standard 80mm f2.8, not sure of other focal lengths though

Great photos, prefer the Velvia 50 ones by a lot though.
Velvia 100 blows the highlight out pretty easy, in fact i know in really bright scenes some meter it as ISO 125.
Anyway would love more of these videos, it's exciting seeing slides developed, even if they're not yours!

Love Velvia 50 for landscapes, especially long exposures. But my favorite is Provia

I asked the question on a light painting group, and someone had also this straight answer. I think he will be amazed seeing the result on your shot. Really nice work Stefan ;)
