When I buy stuff that doesn't work I usually just list it as broken and accept the occasional loss. The way I like to think of it is in the long run these few bad buys don't matter much.
I do the same thing and learn from my mistakes. Luckily its not often that items dont work and consoles sell pretty well for parts on eBay which definitely helps. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
do u think once you get the video game console or video game you can go to your nearest video game store and sell it to them to see if you can make a profit? Or would that be a bad idea
It doesnt make much sense for me to sell it to another store when I can get full price by selling it in my own store. However, I do have people who sell me stuff pretty consistently so its not a bad idea if you dont wana deal with listing, customer service, shipping, etc. Hope that helps and thanks for watching👍🏻
Do you have any videos of how you look for video games on facebook? I look and hardly see anything of a deal out there. Im in southern California so maybe thats a partial reason why, i dont know!
I did a bit of that in my last video. I have my search range set pretty far which does help but I do also have to drive a good amount to get items. Hopefully that helps and thanks for watching 👍🏻
@AirValYT Ah OK that makes sense. I do see some stuff worth getting but it's always through hellish socal traffic. But I guess everyone deals with traffic everywhere. Your videos are dope tho they are helping me a lot thanks.
@@MrBooyahmofo I moved out of Toronto to a small town, kinda in the middle of nowhere. That definitely helped a ton as traffic isnt a issue and I can lineup a bunch of pickups at once, in the bigger towns/smaller cities around me. Big cities can have a lot of inventory but between the traffic and competition its not easy to find a lot of pickups.
I moved out of Toronto about a year ago and Ive looked on Kijiji a couple times but I couldn’t find much so Ive stuck with Facebook marketplace. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Fun video style since this is the kind of stuff I do regularly, fun to see how you handle things. When selling on eBay do you price above pricecharting to help curb the fees or do you prefer fast sales?
I sell items at market price but I do accept reasonable offers to help move items a bit faster. I do take fees into account when I purchase inventory so I know my net profit before I purchase it. Hope that helps👍🏻
To clarify, if you have a $40 pricecharting value game you list at $40 + shipping? I usually charge more but I also clean, test, reufurbish, remove stickers, etc so I feel I can command more value. I will accept offers too. Downsides include slow prep and slower sales. @@AirValYT
I take mine to bookman's if they have cases. They give anywhere from 3-5 dollars for low dollar stuff. Just sell the rest on marketplace for around $2 a piece as a bulk lot
I usually get the most profit from game lots. 3DS And DS seem to be the most profitable becuase people don't seem to realize they are worth something. I bought a $1000 bundle for only $150. Usually they come with games that aren't worth anything and I wouldnt play them. In that case I clean them up and give them away as freebies in large orders. Just a little customer appreciation, and it's a good way to get rid of worthless inventory.
Whenver I sell a game I show that game plugged in working. Same goes for systems and handhelds. When buying i ask to see if they can show me it working. I'll say "can you show me it working" if they dont want I offer a lower price because of the risk. Handhelds are easy to check if they work. If a seller doesnt want to show those working huge red flag. I understand plugging in a system can be a chore but putting in AA batteries to a Nintendo Gameboy color isnt that hard. You could always bring batteries with you. For other handhelds just ask the seller to charge them.
Thats a great way of doing it! I normally just ask if there are any problems with the console and go from there. I will definitely bring batteries next time. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Bring some batteries. Dang! People be scamming hard in the video game world. I have heard more times than i can possibly remember "oh yeah i guarantee it works, reads games etc). And they dont work!
hey man it happens & really bums you out I understand, bought recently a xbox one lot great games for a good price. discs were wrecked like the kid was playing frisby with it. stayed up all night testing & u have to dl which is really time cosuming & will be lucky to make my money back. cant do much as blu ray discs but yeah it happens. not worth going back to get ur money also
Yikes sorry to hear that. Normally blu ray discs are pretty durable so its rare that they are super scratched up. I do recommend asking about the overall disc condition when you reach out and double checking a couple games when you go to pick it up. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
No way this dude actually sell retro games. But he can't fix them? Can't even fix an gba that 4 wired a 2 solders. Lmaoo this dude is all about the money and I definitely go out of my way to waste ppl's time like this on marketplace. Just to return the favor of enjoyment. Ruining the market with greed.
Make sure to destroy the like button!
You pay too much up front for these items to let them sit around.

What about the low dollar games that don’t sell and are filling up a lot of space on your shelf?
Just sell them to dkoldies in bulk. They will buy anything even the worst games.

I set aside all the low dollar games and liquidate them when I have enough. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

I can’t find any decent deals for games anymore. The market is flooded with people flipping games and there are no deals
