I've been listening to Michael for over 35 years and never tire of listening to him. He is perhaps the most theologically sound songwriter of all time. Wonderful concert!

I have never had the chance to see him in person, but he is without a doubt one of the true "musical prophets" of these last 30 years. Michael Card and Keith Green are my favorite Christian songwriters!

Michael Card has been a favorite of mine since I was a teenager 30 years ago. The message is so biblically sound. His song Jubilee is a personal favorite.

I have loved Michael Card's music since I was in high school (in the '90s), have sung his music at weddings, funerals, Easter, Christmas, baby dedications, Bible studies... I've been blessed to see him in concert three times - most recently at a church in Northern VA, where I got to meet him. What a delightful, humble man of faith. Thank you, Michael, for your witness and your soul-touching music!

I am always blessed and awed when listening to Michael Card, and it never ceases to amaze me that he plays a righthanded guitar upside down and lefthanded, and does it so well.

If he sang, Sleep Sound in Jesus, I’d lose it. I used to play that cassette tape for my first born son 32 years ago. I can’t listen to it. It just makes me cry sometimes longing to go back to those days. …..

My mother played this often for me as an infant before I could speak. After years away from the album, she played it for my younger brother and I knew all the words from before I could speak! Amazing. I now play it as a bed time lullabies for my three children.

I'll never forget the first time I saw him in person... I'll never forget the time he gave me sheet music for a song at my wedding. I'll never forget the times I got to drive him at Founder's Week at Moody. This man has ministered to my heart and discipled me in ways I never knew possible... He inspired me to learn Hebrew... He has been a friend to my heart and directed every impulse of praise that I have on to our beloved Jesus...

Now watching him in perform with Fernando Ortega... now that was an out of body experience. BTW, I call Michael Card the classy Keith Green of the 80s and 90s... BTW, Michael, you introduced me to Sara Groves... I just can't tell you how much you ministered to me in my years of pastoring, Bible translating in Tanzania... I have shared your music with hundreds and never once have people been like, "Yeah, that doesn't speak to my heart... "

I saw Michael perform in Salford around 1990. He held the concert hall in the palm of his hands. A guitar playing friend had to pick his jaw off the floor when Michael tuned up his 12 string part of the way through a song.

When Michael came to Ripon in the UK, he was playing his songs as he does and then said "if you know this you can join in" and began singing El Shaddai.
I needed no second bidding. I was off. Full tenor. And I wasn't holding back. Eyes closed. Head back. Off with the fairies I was.
Afterwards we chatted and my wife asked him about Joseph's Song and he then told me that before the event he had been touring A LOT and was very tired.
He felt like he could do with a night off, a rest, but the show had to go on. Then, he said he looked out and saw me at the back (usual spot) giving it bandy. 😂
He said that at that moment, all the tiredness and anxiety left him, enabling him to go for it.
Mike. If you ever return, I want to sing it with you up there next time.
    ❤😂😂❤

I'm convinced that the reason Michael plays guitar left handed is that he sits at the right hand of God. Nobody has shown me the love of God, through his words and deeds, like this man has for so long. He's been a blessing for this sinner.

My all time favorite Christian wordsmith, songwriter, musicians & able to put the Word into music to draw us to the Word like no other! First heard his music in 1984 with a friend that had his NT Trilogy of Christ. I was stunned.
I found someone a little similar in Brazil when in the Amazon Basin for 12 years as a missionary nurse: Sérgio Lopes (no not z). It would be amazing if the two of them could do a joint effort. They both want to put the word of God into music to draw people back to the Word of God.

Hi Fellows!! This is Adan Ortiz My first language is Spanish! I became a Christian When I turned 17! The 1st time I heard Michael music at Mexico City was thru a short wave radio. I did not understood English so some one translated the lyrics from Fan the flame and known by the scarfs. listening every day the album life My brother used to get mad saying ... this guy again listening his Christian music!! One day He put close attention into two songs lyrics Emmanuel and Why they get was touched by the Holly Spirit and gave his life to Jesus!!
Michael Card music is like someone's preaching words with a wonderful music as a background!!!

I’ve seen him twice in concert: the first time was in 1989 in Dublin… St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The next time was in Baltimore - in 2005, I think? I was driving past a local church and saw his name on a church marquee “Michale Card - tonight in concert”!! I stoped what I was doing and went. It was free and just sublime!

Our pastor will finish our Sunday night Bible study, on Job, this week. I told them to listen to Michael Card’s “Job’s Suite”, it is 9 minutes long but it’s like you read the book. Sadly, not one person said they knew who he is, until I mentioned El Shaddai. Our family was a little disappointed.
