INDIA (Uttar Pradesh ): Lakshmi, aged 10 years old belongs to the Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh in India. She is very famous among people in her town because of her facial appearance. Her facial appearance is so strange that people have not stopped coming to see the divine baby. Lakshmi is the fourth child in the family, but she is different from other siblings. When she was born, there was extra flesh on her nose. That was the reason why other children and people in her society were scared to see her face. But as time passed, people came to socialize with her.
Her uniqueness attracted people to take her glimpse. They started to think of her as an incarnation of "Lord Ganesha" (A Hindu God), and it was the people who named her "Lakshmi" (Goddess of wealth and prosperity). People offer money and gifts to Lakshmi at festivals and take her blessings for their better life. The doctors got success in removing her trunk. But her nose and nostrils were not corrected, like other normal children. So doctor advised the family to wait until see grows so that they can perform cosmetic surgery. The family is so poor that they can not afford the expenses of the surgery. They are looking for financial aid so that the little girl can be cured.
