Patrick, you are a great interviewer. Your questions are very relevant , your comments are on target, you are articulate! I wish you can continue working for our media. My respect to you!
What does this comment even mean? The number of "types" of air defense systems doesn't tell you anything. Layered air defence networks are complex by nature and need to be calibrated to detect, target and engage various types of different threats in real time, across the entire territory of Armenia. To do this, you need several different sorts of anti-air assets designed for different defence tasks *at different ranges*--all working in coordination with eachother across the entire country. So not only is "having 3 types" of AA assets not enough on its own, it also doesn't address the other issue: the ability to counter SEAD (suppression of enemy air defence) - What makes drones such a challenge on the modern battlefield is that they are cheap, relatively easier to produce and acquire, and can be deployed in large numbers. So, even if you have air defence, an enemy could neutralise this advantage by overwhelming your targeting radar by just having way too many drones in the air (You can shoot down most, but not all). The other question is one of cost. Armenia is not a super rich country, and air defence assets (as well as their radars, and missiles themselves, are expensive)...So, Air defence forces would be faced with a resource management question: Is it worth expending a 500,0004 missile to destroy a 10,000$ drone?
This is one of the most boring interviews I have ever watched. It was excruciating. I must've fallen asleep about 3 times. You folks are giving the enemy too much information.
@@whitefeather29 We have spy satellites, hundreds of spy drones, awacs planes, strong hacker groups and spies all around the world. Do you really think you Armenians can easily protect yourself from our watchful eyes? We watch all countrys and groups in the region and beyond the region, not just Armenia. I am watching this channel because i like to know about the mindset of my enemies.

Well, what about the guest ?
28:00 totally agree with you dear Leonid. Silence in this respect has very high value
Very interesting conversation. Some extra info & context regarding specific military equipment would be appreciated, but overall very insightful!
Great interview, gents. Please, invite more professionals for a detailed overview of different subjects. 👍👍👍

Three different air defence:
1) Short range: Kalashnikof
2) Medium range: Tor
3) Long range: Shouting and begging to France and America.
