  • After spending 2 weeks through the Bolivian Andes, I got myself to Copa Cabana on the south end of Lake Titicaca. I spent the next two days resting and eating great food. I also took a guided tour of the ancient Chincana Labyrinth on Isla del Sol. These ancient religious structures actually predate the Inca, functioning as a monastery for the Tiahuanaco culture as far back as 3000-4000 years b.p. My guide Vidal gave me a great tour of the island for a very reasonable price. Overall, this was a great day excursion, and I'm really glad I made the journey over to Copacabana before heading off to the Uyuni Salt Flats in the following days...

Always good to have a local tour guide. How did the spring water treat you?

That was actually some of the best tasting water I had on my entire trip! 😂 I guess it gets filtered as it gets pushed up from the lake. Overall, it was a really interesting place.
