i love how josh ducks down frequently, but brennan stays standing because that implies that sometimes the angel leaves zac's shoulder but the devil is always there. Watching. Waiting. biding his time until there's a deviled egg for zac to eat.
Josh's "that's my guy!" line is killer, too. His angel thought he had won, he was ready to be proud of Zac. It just makes the payoff that much funnier.
All of them were fantastic. Josh as a straight man managing to still get in some licks, Zac going for the second egg, Brennan hard pivoting into one of the funniest bits they've done on the show.

yeah it kinda hurt when brennan ditched the car trail and I was like, "But they were on about this car, why are you going on about this egg?" However, as a Devil on the Shoulder, it kinda fits, and it removes economical / political aspects from a Car vs Charity debate. Also, in this hypothetical situation, Zac was thinking about buy a new car while infront of the windowsil where there was a deviled egg, so the Devil just "saw" the egg - changed the convo. :P
Returning to this after several months, I love that you can see exactly what's going on in Brennan's mind. Over the first 7 seconds he's perfectly engaged with what Josh is is setting up, then at exactly 8 seconds he makes the word association between "devil" and "deviled egg," and over the next 7 he stares in wonder as the window sill and its dangerous meal manifest before his eyes.
I like the idea this gives me, that someone might be too naturally good to be tempted to wickedness, so their assigned demon, knowing it couldn't get them too do bad things would instead be motivated to keep them from doing good things by distracting them with inanity
How they compliment each other is incredible! Brennan's tangent is hilarious, but I don't think it works nearly as well if Zach & Josh hadn't opened with a relatively more serious topic/dialogue. Stellar!

I love how the character is seemingly looking out a window, trying to decide on whether or not to buy a car when suddenly he’s stricken by this massive need to eat this mysterious food item. Also, I love how this is a case of “no, but” in improv but somehow working. No to whatever car bit you were trying to do, this is about deviled eggs now.

What if in a D&D game one of the PC's was actually an NPC controlled by the DM and there was a PC playing the angel on their shoulder and another PC playing the devil on their shoulder rolling for influence over what that NPC does?
I was going to make this exact idea for my next campaign, the PC has 2 different voices but none on their own because 2 direct opposing forces took interest in the same being, one "Lawful" Good and the other Chaotic Evil making the character True Neutral
