I think he’s going to hit his ceiling a lot sooner than Caleb, but his ceiling is still extremely high. If Caleb came to us, I don’t know if our team would look all that different, since I think Kingsbury’s influence and Dan Quinn’s ability to rally guys is driving this team more than Daniels, even though he’s still an integral part of the offense working, I think Caleb would find similar success on the Commanders.

Very true. Pat Mahomes is undoubtedly the best, but he’s undoubtedly not playing the best by a wide margin rn. JD is playing the best out of all QBs right this second, but that can change next week
RGME didn't listen to his coaches(arguable that he wasn't surrounded by enough good coaching), coming out of college wasn't good at reading the opponents defense, had a bit of attitude being cocky and his frame for a QB was fragile. He ran the ball too much and would get knocked around like a rag doll. RGME was a flash in the pan. Once the league got a read on him, he was bound to fizzle. Plus the injuries derailed his short career.
I don’t think this is sustainable over a 17 game stretch, but I’ll be darned if I won’t enjoy it while it lasts. If it does, I’ll be pleasantly surprised, but-and maybe this is the longtime DC sports fan in me, everything is just going *too* good right now, and as any Washington fan will tell you, you have to be prepared for the letdown. That said, in JD5 we trust. Picking the most developed and pro-ready QB prospect in the draft was a brilliant move even with Maye there, because his composure under fire is really the most impressive thing about his whole game and is what really seems to be making this team rally around him the way they have. I don’t think I can remember a prospect (outside of Stroud) who has taken command of an offense from week 1 in the way that JD has. Speaks to his maturity, and speaks to what makes Kingsbury such a great QB guru: he listens, he develops a relationship and chemistry built on trust.
Everybody thought the Bears should draft Caleb and he could still end up being better but I wanted to draft Jayden Daniels because he throws such a nice deep ball and is very accurate and athletic.. we will see in a few years who's better..
Jayden has been playing great, but can't wait to see him against better secondaries. Not sure why Cincy is so off this year, but I thought that would have been his first great test.
He's accurate. Cowboys D is among the best in the East when healthy. Last few years has shown that. New coach new scheme everyone has to get on the same page plus they don't play together during preseason. Dak owns the NFC East as well. Until Daniels have a whole season of winning and playing well we can't overreact. Daks rookie season he torched everyone
"Everybody wants to find the next Jayden Daniels" - like teams haven't been looking for a pocket passer w/scrambling ability similar to Mahomes. Rex is a hot-take clown.
Washington was never trading that pick. There wasn’t anything any team could offer to move them out of number 2. Can’t blame the Raiders for not being able to compete with Magic Johnson for Kliff.
Kingsbury was almost ready to sign to my Raiders, but the deal fell apart in the last day. Rumors has it that he wanted a 3 year deal and some more pay. Raiders offered a 2 year deal and less money. We would have NEVER gotten Daniels. Commanders were only taking insanity trades to give him up.
They really be hating on Sam Darnold instead of looking at the jets and panthers as the common denominator in regards to bad QB play of highly drafted QB's
Wow, I can't believe how people talked about Brock Prudy in his rookie year and still talking about him, that he needs to do more. But everybody put Daniels on a pedestal already with 4 games. Way too early, still a LOT of games to play. He played against weak defenses except the Buccaneers, in which he lost. Pump the Breaks!!!🤦🏾♀️
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 all that college experience praising Jaden Daniels for that. Meanwhile, Brock Purdy started almost all four years of his college career, and they were shitting on him when he first got in
Can be like a Mayfield situation. Right system and team. I feel like guys like Stroud are real generational talent where they can come into a situation and make nothing into something but Darnold got a good offensive head coach that can utilize him the correct way. Mayfield had a good team in Cleveland but maybe the coaching wasnt his fit.
Look at the cowboys next 8 games on the schedule, then look at the commanders and eagles next 8 games on the schedule and tell me you still think the cowboys are gonna win the division.

Wasnt there another QB drafted 2nd overall in washington that had a phenomenonal rookie season 🤔
Three years in a row with Purdy 🤷🏾♂️ im just saying
What about Purdy? He isn’t even making a million dollars and he’s playing lights out! Meanwhile all these other QBs are making millions of dollars lol
Rex Ryan must not be paying attention.
Jayden Daniels is playing exactly like the guy people thought Caleb Williams was gonna be
Acting like Brock Purdy doesn't exist is weird.
The Commanders gonna be tough 😮
Rex and Jerry salivating at 8 and a half inch….
Jayden has been playing great, but can't wait to see him against better secondaries. Not sure why Cincy is so off this year, but I thought that would have been his first great test.
I see why Rex is not a coach anymore he talking pure nonsense
eh he's been pretty accurate.... and entertaining in my opinion at least.
5:06 Bo Nix needs to hear this pep talk…
Again Rex wants that cowboys D Coordinator job BAD BAD 😭 ngl I was feenin for him this offseason when he had the interview with us.. good ole Rex
Flacco was dropping absolute dimes
So through 4 games nfl teams are looking for a Jayden Daniels 🤔🤔 ESPN is so frustrating with there takes
Exactly 😂😂😂😂
You didn’t watch the whole segment and it’s shows. They said because of Jayden and cj who were both drafted in the 2nd round
Cope, you think it's easy to complete 82% of passes for a month. Football casual, learn football.
@@darnejackson1Learn football. Research the many different nuances of playing the quarterback position, then comment.
@@dillonbanks609 “jayden Daniels best QB in the NFC”-Damien woody
“Jayden daniels is the prototype qb every team wants” Rex Ryan…. What did i miss
Jayden Daniels Played in SEC....he stronger than he look....just cut down on hits taken and he will be fine
LETS GO WASHINGTON
He's cool, he's accurate, he's athletic....sounds like another QB in the NFC which I know - Brock Purdy. Lol
Raiders Raiders, Raiders, we let two slip thru our hands Kingsburg and Daniels should of offered 12 first 1st rounds not just 3 lol
This is hilarious. We anointing rookies in September now?
Greeny is such a dork. CO-SIGN!!
after five years “it’s fixable…”
3 out of 4 years, Teddy forgetn’ Justin Herbert.
Lmao the Steelers had 400 yards with Pickett last season. These people glaze fields for no reason.
Look how Shannon Sharpe’s take on Sam Darnold is right
Some of these talking heads need to find new jobs
Why it seems that they are reading from a script 😂
Rex still has a Mark Sanchez tattoo! So of course he loves Dak.
Jayden has outperformed EVERY QB in the NFL thus far. Therefore, he's the BEST in the entire league right now
Hes the best to ever do it
Against 3 weak secondaries in Cincinnati, Arizona and the giants....wow
Wow, I can't believe how people talked about Brock Prudy in his rookie year and still talking about him, that he needs to do more. But everybody put Daniels on a pedestal already with 4 games. Way too early, still a LOT of games to play. He played against weak defenses except the Buccaneers, in which he lost. Pump the Breaks!!!🤦🏾♀️
I love my Dak and cowboys but Jayden is a special kid and he will be Daks cryptonite for some time i think in couple years
This show would be 100000% better with one guest at a time. A conversation with just Rex Ryan is way more interesting than this
Vikings might have made a mistake that nobody is talking about.... They shouldn't have drafter JJ he can't take this job from Darnold
Just wait till Jaden unlocks noah brown
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 all that college experience praising Jaden Daniels for that. Meanwhile, Brock Purdy started almost all four years of his college career, and they were shitting on him when he first got in
Can be like a Mayfield situation. Right system and team. I feel like guys like Stroud are real generational talent where they can come into a situation and make nothing into something but Darnold got a good offensive head coach that can utilize him the correct way. Mayfield had a good team in Cleveland but maybe the coaching wasnt his fit.
Look if Darnold keeps playing at this level... this may be a trey lance situation 😂
Look at the cowboys next 8 games on the schedule, then look at the commanders and eagles next 8 games on the schedule and tell me you still think the cowboys are gonna win the division.
Anthony Richardson left and finally the WRs started getting the ball
They said the same about cj last year n he kept it going stop hating jayden the real deal
JD5 salute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
He's Sammy Baugh reincarnated
Rex is delusional with his cowboys take 😂
As a commanders fan plz don’t talk good about us now plz and thanks
Thay on the Sac now ! lls
Texans commanders good teams with solid young cores
There is a handful of great QBs coming out this year. Also I have a question what happened to that Arkansas QB Jefferson or whatever his name was he was really good reminded me of jamous Winston
He's at UCF. They just lost their first game to Colorado last week.
Pump the brakes before you crown Jayden Daniels. What he is doing is amazing, but pump the brakes.
It's 4 weeks in. Daniels isn't the best qb in the nfc, thats absurd 😂
I think Caleb Williams will be Kyler Murray
Teddy is right. 4 games does not wipe clean a career of bad play
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
2:59
Fixable? Hasn't that been the narrative for the last three years for Justin Fields? New team New Chance? If anyone can fix it it's a grizzly vet like Tomlin? Okay. I'll buy it ...for now.
Jayden ISAN IE BOY AND GUESS WHAT SO IS CJ
Im hoping and praying we END! This whole notion that the Cowboys and Eagles with automatic be the top 2 teams in the division to contend for the playoffs smh its ridiculous how some ppl truly believe they'll be at the top just because they're the Cowboys
The Steelers need to draft a defensive line and we are top 5 defense but until we find answers for both line issues idk man we kinda got exposed just being honest 😅
Rex gets paid to say things like that!
Commanders can def win the division. They won't be winning a SB with that defense but they can def score enough to come out on top of that sorry NFC East.
Yep and yall said the same about love and CJ last year😂 sam howell before that, justin fields, Trey Lance and the list goes on. Just let the kid have his bad year and then judge him next year. They dont have much tape on him yet but they will and I can assure you in 4 weeks or so he will turn into a pumpkin
Viking Sam Donald for Real please 😂😂😂
No Rex.
Every team is looking for and hoping for the next Lamar Jackson.
Though most in the league will and have pretended they didn't want.
That's what the Commanders have found in JD.
Dual QBs is and will become the new norm
Lemonade's very well
Scary thing is, Daniels missed throws, he could have had a perfect game, he missed a few reads
That’s the way it goes. You just try to miss as few of them as possible and so far, JD has been the best at it in the entire league. Playing with elite efficiency in back to back games
field did this in every 3 th or 4th quater for bears, he ll learn sure right, 38 fumble for bears, min one every game for 3 years.
Don't do this. This dude has played 4 games.
Dude they always do this.watch next week when there is a new mvp. You would expect experts to be less reactionary, hey but thats just how tv works i guess.
The best 4-game stretch of any quarterback in NFL history…. Numbers don’t lie
It’s because how he is doing it. He has looked like a top 10 guy so far through 4 weeks.
@@srinivassuresh466 Right. I remember they tried to crown Jalen hurts after one good year.
@@CMROnTheTrack Listen, I'm not saying don't give him his praise but crowning him best in the NFC is wild. A lot of these teams have started off rusty. They have vets in the NFC that get better as the year goes on. Teams don't have film on Jayden yet. They should let him just play instead of doing this.
They haven't beat a team with a winning record
Believe in Dak but the two legitimate years they go to the playoffs he was the singular reason they lost cause of his decision. Y'all are so drunk on Dak.
