I was at this concert when it was recorded in Mankato MN last December. The crowd went crazy when they announced they were recording a live video. Was a blast!!! Just wanted to add when Tim sings low you CAN actually feel the chair vibrate along with your butt. IT'S TRUE 😂😂😂😂😂
Nick, they are a blast in person....funny & comical, they do audience participation, and yes it's entertaining for young & for old andnall in between. I've seen them live 3 times and am already trying to plan my 4th !!! You'll love their version of "Life is a highway"
I really hope they give us more professional concert videos. So good! There is one of them singing "Dreamer " with Texas Hill Live at the Ryman that is also really good! Thanks for the Home Free reactions
I've seen other people say this but it's worth repeating. I saw them live in Manchester in the UK a few weeks ago and its only when you see them live you realise just how amazing they are. It's truly a visceral experience.
If this is your first live performance from Home Free you fortunately were given a professionally produced performance to react to..and it truly shows their talent and does them justice☺️
What’s fun is that this medley was originally done by them during Covid and it went viral. Ubisoft, the game maker, saw it and approached Home Free and asked them to write a shanty for their new game Skull and Bones. It’s a banger. There’s a lyric video of it and a short live version in front of the Ubisoft crowd. Tim goes insanely low in it. Btw, when you’re at their concerts, Tim’s bass goes through you. They all sound so good. Love it!!🥰😍
Once during a concert I sat on the front row close to the speakers, when Tim hits those low low notes everything vibrated. I swear even my hair !!! My sister was afraid the speakers hanging from the ceiling were going to fall. Their concerts are Amazing. I was sad when they announced a shorter touring schedule, I understand of course.
Wasn't that great! Finally a professional live recording! This is one of my favorite medleys. Fan recordings on their phones can never clearly capture the true sound. So glad Home Free did this.
This was so awesome! I can’t wait to see them live but they don’t come around my way much. Great video and great audience! Just love these boys! ❤ Love your reactions Nick, can’t wait to see what you do next! ❤
Hei Nick. Igjen,,tusen ❤takk. For at tar i mot,,ny musikk Og ikke minst God Gammel Musikk. Du er min favoritt,,som jeg Fider musikk til. Og alle de navnene som du får opp,,. Er Mitt navn,,. NINA. Fra NORGE ❤
They need to put a cardiac warning on Tim's low bass notes because if you're anywhere near a speaker it will cause your heart to skip a beat at a live performance!
The energy and love flowing between the fans and the guys during a Home Free live show is palpable. You feel it right down to your core that they love performing for the fans. One thing that makes Home Free so special is they haven't succumbed to the arrogance of celebrity. They are fun loving, humble, hard working, and talented almost beyond imagining. If you ever get the opportunity to see them live, take it. You will enjoy every second of it! Great reaction.
This is wonderful! Great quality live performance. The official version was done during the pandemic so it looks like stacks of TikTok shorts and that’s okay but this is great. I do miss seeing Tim dressed as Jack Sparrow though. Great request and thanks for the reaction Nick.
Nick you gotta get on the official vid for Life is a Highway. Just dropped like 4 days ago. Theyre putting out new vids like once a week for the new album
I saw that you took time to view Tim Foust solo Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow. I hope that you will take the time to view Austin Brown solo Bring Him Home. This will give you a real insight to Austin and will explain a lot about his ability. Guess we will see it you are interested in what makes this group real and great.
That huge (!) audience and Home Free are feeding off of each other's energy -- it's electrifying! It's great to hear/see a professionally recorded live performance -- they are rare and prove that HF sounds just as good outside of the studio. Enjoyed your appreciation of the breadth and depth of Home Free's talents.
Home Free is so good live. So steady and pure. I'm so glad I finally got to see them live on September 27th. The first time but certainly not the last. I also posted a video on YT of my recording of the Sea Shanty Medley (and other songs). Of course not that nice, but you can still hear how good they are. When Tim does the bass you can just feel your chair shaking.
Hello Nick love your reaction and, Home Free has come with 2 new videos you must see they have made a CD from all they song from all their songs in the Talent show they win from 2013 hugs from a Fries in Norway 🫂🫂💞💞👏🏽👏🏽
That concert was my granddaughter's Christmas present. We were in the front row. What a great present Home Free gave us! This was iin Mankato,Minnesota, birthplace of Home Free with 5,000+ avid fans. They are as good or better in concert as they are in video. You need to experience a live concert. It's a party that you immediately become addicted to and don't want it to end!
I think you really need to watch the official video of this song. You will really appreciate the videographer's work. Please don't skip this one. You may also like their video Helpless Hoping. That one is approximately 90% harmony.
Doesn't matter how many times I hear one of their songs, I love them more and more! I love how Home Fries call them "our boys", you won't find that kind of loyalty or devotion in any other genre!
What you said about how wholesome they are -- yes, that's the word I've been looking for. I love these acapella groups that are about the music -- the melody, the harmony, the rhythm, the fun. They're about fun for the singers and about delighting the audience.
Another a cappella group you might like is called The Bass Gang. Tim Foust, the bass for Home Free joined them for Hooked On a Feeling, last made famous (again) in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy. About 3-4 weeks ago The Bass Gang released a very different sea shanty video called Jolly Sailor Bold. You might also get a kick out of watching Peter Barber's reaction to the video, his first time seeing the finished product of the group he, himself is a part of.
This was professionally filmed; however, I love any/all of their live performances. Regardless of the audio/ video qualities of various devices used by audience members, the energy of the performance & enthusiasm of the audience make up for any deficiency. The singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific! Another live one I guarantee will make you smile is "Timeless with special dancer".
They are most certainly wholesome. From time to time, they let their beliefs peek through, just like their humor. All their Christmas songs are beautiful and could (may) make a good Christmas album.
I saw them at Ryman auditorium in Nashville and it was the best concert I’ve ever been to. I’ve been listening to their music for years, and when my fiancé got us tickets to a concert, I was blown away by how they sound exactly the same in concert as they do in studio produced tracks. They’re seat musicians and great people. Listen to mayday if you’ve never heard it. It’s pretty freakin amazing, even in comparison to their norms.
I was there that night. You can tell from this how electric the atmosphere was. If you ever get a chance to see them live, do not pass it up. That venue holds about 8400 for concerts and I didn't see many empty seats.
These guys ARE the REAL DEAL!!! I questioned what I was hearing vs what I was seeing -- so full (sound), the harmonies, the blends.... Had to witness it for myself (the only "performance" [concert] I've ever seeked out ......... AND I will again!!! Their LIVE exceeds their studio stuff and kicked up a notch or 2 (or 5). So so good! Be Safe
The floor looked like it was pulsating with all the cellphone flashlights!
Awesome reaction. Thank you so much. I love these men. No better harmonies ever.

Go to one of their concerts! You will never be disappointed.

Thank you, it was a blast to watch!
Their shows are clean, funny, and harmonic. This video doesn’t do justice in seeing their show live.
Well, don't know about totally clean, Tim does get carried away sometimes during "story telling"! LOL
I think you would really appreciate Two country singers try singing opera. (Rob and Austin will blow your mind)
Oh yeah!!
Yes! ❤💯 also Austin singing Bring him home ❤
@@minneyruth oh heck yeah!!
I came to the comments to request this!

Thank you Karen
They are just flat out fun to see live.
Wasn't that great! Finally a professional live recording! This is one of my favorite medleys. Fan recordings on their phones can never clearly capture the true sound. So glad Home Free did this.
Completely agree. Great quality
Sea shanties were written to work to, keeping rhythm to haul sails etc. Nanz Karen UK
This is actually better than the original. Love these boys. This is amazing.💗💗💗
This was so awesome! I can’t wait to see them live but they don’t come around my way much. Great video and great audience! Just love these boys! ❤ Love your reactions Nick, can’t wait to see what you do next! ❤
Great reaction!
Thank you Nancy! 😁
This I think is their title song, like Piano Man is for Billy Joel
I would LOVE to see you do KD Lang Hallelujah (version from the 2010 Olympics)
Sounds good 😌

The original was Chance's idea this live version is profesionaly produced and sounds so good.
They need to put a cardiac warning on Tim's low bass notes because if you're anywhere near a speaker it will cause your heart to skip a beat at a live performance!
People with pacemakers have had to move farther away.
Thank you Nick!! Thank you to the videographer for such a great job!! They sound so awesome live!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love Adam's Spanish castinets in this medley! 💖

"The arrogance of celebrity" -- I'm keeping that one, well said.

Tim as Jack Sparrow is quite the sight to behold. Miss those movies
Nick you gotta get on the official vid for Life is a Highway. Just dropped like 4 days ago. Theyre putting out new vids like once a week for the new album

You need to listen to it again and concentrate on Adam Rupp the beat boxer/drummer. On the video it is easier to see and hear what he is doing.
🤟🤠🤟
Filmed last Christmas in Mankato, MN. This whole concert was magical. Hoping for a future whole Concert album. Thanks for reacting.
you can fid 20 versions of this medley on you tube. it is quite popular. their video is funny.
Home free is good band .the band came to Alaska .I like home free
Good observations. Love Home Free!

Mankato, MN, is where this happened. It's also Adam Rupp 's hometown. My sister and I were in front row on this concert!
@itzel1735 it was at the ice arena, some said crowd size was 5,000.
@@itzel1735 thank you.
@itzel1735 Yes, my sister and I are going. I'm flying into Minneapolis, shuttle to Mankato to meet up with sister, then head to Welch.
Yes! Thank you! They are something else Elizabeth
Sea shanties are working songs. Everything is on the beat to help you keep rhythm when hosting sails or some other group task.
Good job, Nick. Thank you for posting!
No worries!

I wish HF would releasee this version. It’s even better than the original Covid version!

Wow. This sounds better than their studio version done during covid. What a wonder group of men that sing perfect harmony together.
And THAT, my friend, is exactly how they sound live. It is amazing!
They are amazing!
I love this melody, they did it during lockdown it’s amazing. This was last month in Europe. Thank you for sharing x
Glad you enjoyed it 🙃
It was released just before the European tour and actually recorded at a concert in Mankato, Minnesota
Glad you got to see them do this song in Europe last month. I saw them 13 Oct when they came back to the US. It was so much fun.
I saw them this October in London, absolutely amazing
Happy new boyfriend you are my boyfriend Nicky ❤Sally

What you spoke to is why these songs were a vibe that got the crews in sync to get the work done. Your smile is a gem.

You are a great reactor! I believe you would be blown away by listening to Austin and Rob singing opera, Nessun Dorma. It’s on Austin’s TH-cam channel

Well done, lads, well done. Gonna miss you, Austin.
Thank you for another Home Free reaction, looking forward to seeing more!❤🏡🍟
You need to see the original video of this! Filmed during COVID, each one at home.
This is so very awesome. These guys are so extremely talented! Love your reaction!
Their harmonies are so great they just get you addicted to any thing they sing.
They really are as fantastic live as they are with studio production. Not easy to accomplish and they are just top tier
I think you identified that going to their concerts is another escape mechanism for the masses. (Around 3 minutes in)

Its just not the same without Austin sword tho.
I still need a duet between Geoff and Tim 😂
You need to check out skull and bones next
I saw them live a few years ago for my bday it was awesome 😎
Songs on the sea were meant to tell rowers when to row.
If I’m not mistaken, this one was from Norway. I could be mistaken.
Nope,it was their hometown, Mankato,Minnesota last Christmas.
Awesome as Always
