  • In my home state of Tennessee there are some of the most beautiful creeks to fish if you can find them and find access. I love exploring and walking through these streams to catch and see lots of cool stuff.

I caught 6 bass on a jerkbait after work Friday of Memorial day weekend. The bass inhaled the bait. I think it was pre spawn males. Had a heck of a time getting them unhooked. Didn't have pliers on me. I may try either filing down the barbs on the treble hooks or just crimping them.

that's a Zara puppy, walking the dog is what the side to side action is called. I always let it sit a few seconds before retrieving. Also another good creek top water is a tiny torpedo or a small pop-r

John, was fishing on my birthday, two days ago, and heard a similar bird call that you heard at the end of your video. Did get a PB 15" Crappie out of a lilly pad bed in 10" of water on a 32nd ounce tube. Good day!

Funny John, camera perspective appearance, you seem a mile away from the h2o. Also, theres been a move toward single hooks on plugs.
The spook is a salt water staple. Guys report NO fewer hook ups with singles. Plus, crimping the barb helps.

Change those hooks out to single hooks. That’s what I’m doing on all my top water creek baits. It’s so much safer! And more safe for the fish too. I think I’m going to do that on my UL crank baits too, because they are about half dangerous when you land a fish

I've had people ask how I could enjoy fishing so much, even though I'm not always catching anything. The answer is much easier to explain with your videos, the scenery is amazing! I enjoy being outside missing bites, more than I do staying inside doing anything. Besides, it's called FISHING... not catching.

    Nice video
Right now my creeks and rivers are BROWN and high
As we just had 2" or so of rain
But I had been getting the Large Mouth , Small Mouth and Rock Bass on 4" Motor Oil rubber worm
Or a Rapala , either twitched on the surface or a FAST retrieve
Interesting to see different ways to catch the bass

Great video brother. The water is gin clear like my favorite 2 up here in IL . Long casts are a must and the 10# braided line on my topwater. I have a jig rod rigged with 6# copolymer line P Line and backup spool with same braid. I definitely use some twitch or pop and pause. I usually get bit on the pause or the "next" twitch. Your creek wins for aestetics and scenery. Plenty of chipmunks, mammals and some snakes. Love exploring with you

It's so all-fired hot up here in Virginia, that I'm only going wherever I need to go, when necessary. Probably about 90° outside, even now! We just had a huge Thunderstorm just miss us here in Staunton, Virginia, here about 2-3 hours ago. Man, yesterday was a great day to be out and about. Never got much above 70-73 degrees yesterday. Now-Hot. As in "I don't think Tarzan and Jane could stand this kind of hot!

Most people fish the top water kind of fast like you were doing. Sometime slow your retrieve and use more side to side rod action also let it set 5 to 10 seconds before starting to reel it in. Love your show been watching ever since Justin from kayak catfish went with you and he flipped his kayak . Yall 2 along with Aaron are my favorite shows to watch.

I had a bass boat for many years. But when my father (aka) fishing buddy died, It just wasn't the same. I could not stand to look in the back seat, and not see him there. I sdecided to sell the boat, and scale down. I was going from point to point, spot to spot. Running all over the lakes. No more. Now I am going to buy a Colorado 1 man pontoon boat & get back to my roots. & happier times when my fathet would pick me up at school & take me creek fishing. Good memories. Glad I found your channell.

Man you should do an experiment with test lineif you haven’t already, I recently read an article about somebody catching a record brown trout on 4lb line and I’m curious how much line visibility makes a difference. Either way don’t really purposely fish bass on my end, I’m out of WNC go more for trout but your videos inspire me to keep a mix and not get religious about fish type or even fishing type(fly or spinner) cause who cares, fishings great and exciting and one of those things God made beautiful. But anyway Love the videos keep ‘‘em coming
