There's no way that was his real hair style at the beginning. He wouldn't really walk around like that. His clothes were totally fine to start. He just needed a regular haircut.

Unfortunately, many overweight people have the wrong idea that they don't deserve to invest in their appearance. When my sister was overweight, I brought her to my house, did her hair/make-up, put on a rocking pair of my earrings, some forgiving stirrup pants and a nice over-sized shirt. The people at her church barely recognized her!
Just a suggestion, tell your brother to give mom a vaca and give himself a treat of having his hair cut professionally every few weeks 'cause he's looking good with that pro cut.
I think this is an excellent idea for men in his age group who may be stuck in their mold from the young years. We women have so many programs like this. I am very impressed with the Barber who took time to cut his hair to match his face and head instead of just giving him the latest style. I also like how laid back the whole episode was. I learnt a lot. I think you should continue this type of show using the same principles. It was very relaxed with an attractive outcome. Thank you

Di hydro testosterone or dht levels is the main reason behind this. High dht levels create denser,thicker facial hair and body hair, but cause androgenic alopecia, scalp hair thinning and loss. Low dht levels result in less dense facial/body hair, but very little if any scalp hair thinning/hair loss.
Personally as a barber I love this. One of my proudest moments is making someone feel fresh and new and to be able to transition them from maintaining whatever is easy and showing them that having a little pride in their look goes a long way. I old time barbered for thirty years, been retired from it for about 4 yrs now. As I was watching him cut, I could feel the hair sliding through my fingers, it was nice. I wasn’t missing barbering up until then haha. Never used a guard in my life, was all clipper over comb. I love your barber! He knows exactly what he’s talking about. The cut is personalized, not all skinned off and chopped to death. The finishing with a straight edge is really nice, Beautiful job man!

I actually learned something for myself. I have the same thick hair and started going to a barber over a hair dresser. He has cut my sides with #2 guard as well and kept length on top. But the guy I am using never has told me how to manage the cut. I usually wet it, put in product to hold/shape and then comb it down. I will try to use a dryer to dry the hair and then add product to style. Thanks for the info.

A few years ago, a gentleman and his family moved here to Be'er Sheva, Israel from the US, and set up his barbershop. For the past 2 years, I've been taking my boys (now 15 and 13) to him, and I've been teaching them the value of going to a barber who knows their craft. I've gotten so many complements on how well-groomed their hair always looks, and whenever locals ask for barber recommendations, I sing Joseph's praises.
I don't usually comment on these, but I love how aggressively chill he is. Really nice vibe that comes through before and after. But, uh, WOW - the after. I could not stop staring at his eyes, which were suddenly center stage. Really amazing what a well-crafted haircut can do.
Very, very cool stuff here, definitely changed his outward appearance but it is a natural extension of the changes he's already been making in taking care of his body and losing weight. good job all the way around!

His favorite barber passed away, unfortunately and he is old-school and can't get into the "make an appointment" atmosphere. I think he has a new found respect for barbers after watching this! I’m glad you’re out here helping men feel good and look sharp. Your brother is going through some changes in life, so his situation isn’t quite the same, of course, but the video did make me think of a lot of fellas out there who could use some sprucing up. Many men would look soooo much better if they would simply wear clothes in the right size, instead of 2-3 sizes too large. Another simple step is to acknowledge that one does not have to wear athletic wear for all occasions outside of work. 🙂
I think 🤔 this was great, definitely helps others out there to embrace the change.... We get stuck sometimes in a look but remember it's just hair and clothes but they can help your mental state.

One more bit of advice. Since he had so much hair, it kinda looked like a man's hair piece. The new look gives the expression of full hair and fine tuning. He looks like he takes pride in himself. Not sloppy anymore. Love it...
Not a whole lot of change was done but, it was very impactful.. He does look at least 10 years younger.. I really enjoyed watching this transformation of not only the hair but also the clothes too I look forward to seeing more soon. I hope. God bless!

Your brother is going through some changes in life, so his situation isn’t quite the same, of course, but the video did make me think of a lot of fellas out there who could use some sprucing up. Many men would look soooo much better if they would simply wear clothes in the right size, instead of 2-3 sizes too large. Another simple step is to acknowledge that one does not have to wear athletic wear for all occasions outside of work. 🙂
I think 🤔 this was great, definitely helps others out there to embrace the change.... We get stuck sometimes in a look but remember it's just hair and clothes but they can help your mental state.

As a woman I LOVE watching these. What really makes the haircut next level is that tightening of the edges around the neck and sideburns and over the ears. Sharp edges make SUCH an understated announcement of care.

I'm a arbys cook and as standard practice I will lay on the ground and lay the beef across my face and snuff as hard as possible before placing them gently on the arbys sandwich before you eat I check for quality I am quality control and have a food handlers lisnense

Educate me on the comb choice here (the black one). I see this type of comb used in a lot of TH-cam haircut vids, but I don’t know the “why.” I don’t recognize it as a Beardbrand comb either, so I’m curious. Any links? I cut my young sons’ hair at home, so I’m always looking at getting better…
Barbers use barber grade combs that can withstand barbicide and disinfectant. Beardbrand combs are designed for consumers and not designed to handle disinfectant. -Eric
