Now that you've finished the Sierras (and I've caught up on your videos), fantastic job on the filming and editing! Those detours to recharge your batteries produced some beautiful footage.
You have a true love and appreciation for nature, and it shows in the way you effortlessly navigate through the great outdoors on your hikes. Your adventurous spirit and passion for the environment are truly inspiring!
Wow what a day!! Congratulations on the halfway point even though it was last year. But official by way of video.😁 The place to stay I like to call a Godencidence! What a most wonderful, precious, and timely trail Angel.
Such varied terrain on this stretch. I can’t imagine doing 40 miles in a day walking. I can hardly make that with a bicycle on a good day. So happy you didn’t have to camp.
How wonderful it must have felt to reach the midpoint and in Chester which is a terrible place to find lodging for hikers to find a trail angel who took such good care of you. And Lassen is not the easiest to hike through cuz you need a bear can if you can’t get reservations in their camp ground with bear vaults. Or if you can get a room at drakesbad. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Hiker brain. Ha ha. I feel u. I was on the phone with thermarest getting a asap replacement when my hiker brain hit me. They were very helpful when i became very slow with everything. You're officially a hiker macheine at this point. Wow, that elevation guuurl!
40 friggin miles,,,holy &@#$. on no sleep 4 that long. i literally cant remember the last time i was up 4 that long. it couldnt of been good. lol enjoying ur journey
OK great, I will look forward to it, I feel like it will be interesting to see what happens next! I hope you rested all right at this persons house. I love how much you interact with locals!
Hoorah for trail community. Energy regulation in modern humans gets interesting. Your brain would rather hog the energy and let your body stumble. Additionally it tries to conserve your energy, carbs at least, for an emergency. And it is not impressed with the modern human's idea of urgency and emergency--sort of drama resistant. But if you persist, it will reluctantly concede to a 2nd, 3rd, 4th wind etc as the sun and moon come and go. There is the whole fat burning keto metabolism which is less of a struggle because it is a "there's plenty more where that came from" thing, short of emaciation. But that is a life style topic.
Well done to the half track. I wish you a lot of strength to continue. The beautiful flowers spread hope🙏
That must be some major uplifting energy when you get to that point! Congratulations :)))
Wow, bet you slept good that night. God was watching over you and gave you a place to stay. Stay well and be safe.
