A Few people have pointed this out and I do feel the need to address it. There is currently a Chest mod that adds to your damage. Most chest mods do not, and the mod in question is a Blue Mod. Most players would have deleted this already, but there are very rare occasions (This being basically the only one this season) where you may want to upgrade a lower tier mod for specific builds. Thanks to everyone who pointed it out. I will add this as a tip in the season 2 tips video.
The basics of mods are that you can slot them into gear and they give you stat bonus. Some mods also change the behavior of weapon skills, while other change your neutral game. For example there is a mod that gives you a damage increase if you go without taking damage for x seconds. Most of what mods do is explained in their tooltips.
I only disagree with 1 point. Blue mods for chest are the only pure damage mod you can get for that piece of armor. You can get affixes for chest. But otherwise. Great vid.
The narration is a bit hard to understand because it sounds very sleepy. Thanks for pointing out the exact content for specific gear mods, and the mats for mod upgrade. I'm still unsure which mods to put into which gear though - it seems I'm allowed to attach a melee weapon DMG onto gloves? Weapon mods can be used on gear, or am I doing something wrong?
I appreciate the feedback on the narration. I’m working on improving and being more conversational and less ASMR style. For the mods, weapon mods (that drop from monoliths) go on guns. Mods that drop from Silos go on gear. When in doubt just go to the mod screen and see what you can a lot it into ;)
Nice vid however you should mention that blue mods have niche use as they can go in any slots. My build is bullseye and as a pve player i care not for any legendary chests mods, my bis is a blue weakspot dmg mod. Just thought you should know
For sure there are niche builds that utilize a full suite of mods and require different play styles. For instance my build doesn’t allow for any weak spot damage, so weak spot mods would serve me no purpose. The general theme of the video is that there are “better mods” than just gold and you shouldn’t just max out every mod you find because later on you will wish you had those components. Good point tho, there are def some niche mods out there.
If you are talking about the attributes on mods, they are LVL locked. As you level up, more of them unlock. So if you start out as a lvl 1 with a gold mod,all of them are locked. Let me know if this answers the question.
@@JudgeGray I'm a little bit confused. You mean for exaple, If i have a rank iV weapons are only the attributes until rank IV active? My original question was if all of these attributes in mods are active on my weaopne or only some of theese.
Since mods care over from season to season I keep finding trouble figuring out what mods to disassemble. Especially since a new mod mechanic is apparently being added next season that works on non-upgraded legend mods
I feel this so much. I basically had to stop breaking them down for fear of trashing next seasons “OP mod”. That’s why I wanted to help people understand that you should be a bit more deliberate about what you upgrade. Most content in the game can be cleared easily without upgrades at all
@JudgeGray it did. I have like 80 hours in the game and I feel like I'm just guessing most times. When I click on my gear tab and hit C for the details screen. Do all the attributes apply on each mod, or is it tier based?
I've ran treant three times and got flame resonance twice and munitions (precision), according to that guide treant is not supposed to drop those mods. What am I doing wrong or is this outdated?
If that is the case then the sportskeeda website I referenced may be a bit outdated. The Bosses, except for the spider, all drop 2 different mods (Fire and Frost for example). If you are noticing a pattern then swap bosses until you find the one that is dropping the 2 weapon damage mod types you are farming.
Does anyone understand how the targeting mods work? What's considered a marked target? Is it just middle mouse pinging them or do they need to be marked by a status like bullseye? There's also a mod that lets you mark targets for 5% more attack up to 3 times. Does that mean I need to mark 3 separate targets? There's also the targeting option available when you tell your minions to attack. Does that count.
My assumption would be you need the blue outline from Bullseye to be on them to count as marked for the mod, as it’s probably a bullseye mod. The mod that allows for stacks of damage was probably intended to be done on the same target, but as it does not say it specifically has to be the same target I would assume it works on 3 separate targets.
I would have to see it and its stats to determine if it was BIS. Not to sure what the mod is, and what affixes are on it. Sometimes BIS for DPS is very case specific. I’ve found over the years that a lot of BIS items require you to stand on one leg, turn your head sideways, and hop up and down to make it work. ;) ultimately if it’s BIS and you want to use it max it out. This is more general information to help out the bulk of players who do not know about the costs of mods, or even that there are better than normal gold mods :)
@@JudgeGray "Complete Guide" never tried blue mods? Go to a lvl 26-28 zone farm some boxes and try it out. No need to jump through hoops and get it on the front page of the paper. This isn't general information, you are labeling this as a COMPLETE GUIDE and missing key information. Edit: If this is just an opinion piece, like what YOU want to determine what YOU think is BiS then you should clarify that also please.
Not sure if you are talking about modding the game or not. I would assume that, with this being live service and a netease game modding would be against TOS

I was looking for a video for someone to explain to me Mods and after spending 10 minutes watching this video I still have no idea what mods do what.

Super helpful! I didn't know specific Silos/bosses drop specific mods. Thanks (:
Glad I could help!!
Absolutely no bs guide, 10/10, thx man.
Appreciate you!!
Nice job dude. Very helpful info that was well presented.
Appreciate the kind words
Nice video, uploads an advanced guide on mods, on the improvements they bring and how to equip mods to your compatible gear and weapons
*unsure if satire*
Love the guide.

Just one question: The mod's Tier I,II,III.. lines, does they are all active on my weapon/armor or only one (and wich?)

Wow 300 mod component
Ya. Upgrading a full set of mods for your armor and weapon can cost you around 4800 components. Picking the wrong mods can set you back quite a bit

This is not a complete guide as you COMPLETLY left out Prime War mods. Good information not complete.
Around the 1:50 mark I mention that you can get mods from prime wars, and state that I will be focusing on monoliths and silos
