Today, we'll dive into the evolution of transformation rise sequence of Ultraseven, the Master of Ultraman Leo, the father of Ultraman Zero. And currently, the Master of Ultraman Z too!

It's so cool how the actor keep coming back to portray the character even after 50 years
He's the best of the Ultraman alter egos.
The guy has presence. That's the best way to put it.
You have it, or you don't.
The other thing that helped with the enduring popularity of Ultraseven was that the original series was taken more seriously and wasn't just produced as a "kids shows."
Don't get me wrong -- I like the original Ultraman and still like the original's character design best of all -- but Seven was written and directed better.
I don't like the Seven sequels that much -- Ultraseven X utterly bored me! -- but I do like these cameos and important moments when Seven plays a critical role.
Enjoy the guy while we have him. He's my father's age. They're releasing a special mini-episode of Ultraseven in the fall. It's 7 minutes long but it may be better that it's short. There's less chance it'll be overplayed!
I think they've used that Deep Fake tech and the actors for both Dan Moroboshi and Anne Yuri are coming back for at least one last time. The concept and what they've shown on the mini-episode looks neat.
That's one of the most wonderful things about Tokusatsu: The heroes always come back until the very end.

これがどれだけすごいことか
CGの変身カットがだんだんオリジナルに寄せてくるのが興味深い。
そしてアイスラッガーは21世紀になっても回転せず白熱化して宙を舞うのが好き。
CGも使えない時代にこの変身エフェクトを思いついたスタッフは神だと思う

He's a legend.
I've seen on other boards people say that Ultraman Taro was the most popular.
I don't think Taro gets the feeling of awe and respect that people have for Seven.
He's probably made more appearances in other Ultra series than any other Ultra character including the original Ultraman!
There have been also been at least 2 Ultraseven sequel series although they're alternate reality series.

They've generally treated their heroes better or at least bastardized less than we have in the West.
The danger of letting IP's run for too long without a break (for at least a few years until someone comes up with a decent idea for a TV series or movie) or definite end to the storylines is that you exhaust them. You either tell EVERY story you can and start repeating yourself, or those characters get assigned to IDIOTS who damage the IP's with bad writing. The worst thing that could happen has happened to American superheroes and that's why they're on the decline -- they're being managed by people who don't understand their cultural value and frankly see their work as "another job" and NOT stewardship of legends. The current caretakers of these American icons don't respect them.
A few years back, I saw Mazinger Z: Infinity and felt I saw the rebirth of a legend. I hadn't really seen the original Mazinger Z at the time but I was vaguely familiar with the robot and had seen the Mazinkaiser OVAs and the horrendous Tranzor Z dub. When I saw Mazinger Z relaunch again after 10 years in storage (in the movie; it had been about 10 years since the last Mazinger Z anime in real life), I felt the same way I did when I saw Superman The Movie a long time ago. "That is a hero! He came back when he was needed!"
I felt the same way seeing the rise of Ultraseven in the Ultraman Orb movie....
I saw the American dub of Ultraman first but after seeing a little bit of Ultraseven with subtitles I kind of understand why he's the most iconic ultra character of the Showa era. He has a charisma that stands out.

I love the one where they have all the characters coincidentally sing the intro to the song, going from the aliens and Ultras responding with confusion to the lady furiously shouting his name in frustration.
