Hey NL! Glad to see you spending a little time with this game. A tip that helped me with the switch from Enter to Exit: you can execute a roll while in the air by hitting dodge or hitting jump again to extend your dodge time and jump distance. The trade-off is that you can't course-correct during a roll like you can during a jump, so it's not for every situation, but it helps for a lot of situations and is required for some platforming jumps on The Hunter's map. For the Meowitzer dash, he telegraphs it by angry squinting. Assuming you're relatively on the opposite side of the platform, you can roll/jump into his dash so that he hits the wall behind you. That way you're on the opposite side of him and you're prepared to roll in case he rushes again. Also congrats on the announcement!

hey NL, insane run. The one bit of advice I think would be helpful is to get into the practice of dodging at the apex of your jump. When you jump you're entirely invincible until you land, so you can really get some insane i-frames to ignore a lot of boss attacks

It's strange to me how you ended up collaborating with Cobaltstreak who I was helping on his Twitch channel for a while before I started streaming myself and then later on, when I latched onto Star Citizen and started making a news show based around that. Dan Gheesling hosted 'The Next Great Starship' and I started looking him up and came to really respect the guy. Hated how the SC thing ended up as far as his hosting gig there because old geezers there slapped a label on the guy without knowing who he was or what he was about. I started following Dan after that and then he ended up collaborating with you as well. It's a huge, small world. I've watched you making a concerted effort on your channel and I've seen the little changes in heart and mind recently and I appreciate it. Hey NL, you can dodge bullets if you jump through them, you don’t have to dodge roll to avoid them. Additionally, you can change your settings to just drop through platforms by pressing “S” and not having to press your space bar to drop through!!! Also Congratulations.
In my experience jumping and dodging in air gives you so much I frames that you can live through anything but hella good job nl it's fun learning this game

When I was playing this game on my phone (through apple arcade), there was an item that unlocked pretty early that negates falling off the level damage. It was the easiest way to cheese, because after falling you get a bunch of invincibility frames. And since I didn't have my other items unlocked, I would get that item frequently

Always enjoying the content! So I know you don't care much for the heavy boots, but the small blank + jumps being invulnerable make jumping a very safe dodge option my dude.
You have to look at Arcade cabinets like Furniture or Art, its really great when you first get it and you will play for hours on end, you will eventually get over it but it makes a great conversation piece. I've always wanted to make one like Linus did from Linus Tech Tips did with a raspberry pie 3 and order a black full-size cabinet and some expensive controllers for it.
Only got one tip for you, my man: Dodging bullets, that is, using s to avoid damage, also increases your multiplier. And remember: You can't take damage unless you're actually touching the ground.

Hey, just a little tip for the cat boss: you can dodge through his ship, you actually did! It's one of the simpler bosses of this game along with the Bull guy, soon you'll be able to perfect them easily :) Also I do think that the Marine has the easier stages, I tend to practice a lot with this character. That being said, I'm also new to the game but I'm playing the crap out of it on Switch

Jump more - it's more I frames than the dodge roll, which you don't need all the time, but when you do is incredibly useful.

Only got one tip for you, my man: Dodging bullets, that is, using s to avoid damage, also increases your multiplier. And remember: You can't take damage unless you're actually touching the ground.

Hey, just a little tip for the cat boss: you can dodge through his ship, you actually did! It's one of the simpler bosses of this game along with the Bull guy, soon you'll be able to perfect them easily :)
Also I do think that the Marine has the easier stages, I tend to practice a lot with this character. That being said, I'm also new to the game but I'm playing the crap out of it on Switch
I've considered buying an cabinet to use to work on my own arcade games, but modern cabinets are crazy expensive once you include all the hardware.
