    • @JessaMenor

You do work just like a full registered nurse in any country. Medication administration, assessment, monitoring and evaluation. Liasing with the healthcare team. Those that work under your supervision are enrolled nurses(ENs study 2 yrs of nursing, RNs study a full 3 or 4 yrs of nursing) , assistants in nursing or care staff.

Hi Miss Jessa :) I recently saw your video about you quitting your nursing job. I couldn't comment in that video so I opted to watch your other videos and it got me here. Thank you for making that video Miss Jessa. I have come to realize that it might be good in people's ears that you are an AuRN but most of them don't really know the struggle of becoming one. Especially when you came from a different country. I am an aspiring nurse too, and a Filipino. After watching your video I have realized that it's not gonna be an easy road. Despite this, I am still passionate in becoming one :) I am an upcoming freshman in college Miss Jessa. Is it better Miss Jessa if I go to Australia now and study BN? or is it more advantageous if I study here in the Philippines first and be a PRN then go to Australia, study BN for 2 years then be a AuRN?

According to the NMBA (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia), one of the requirements for the registration of overseas nurses is “Recency of Practice”. There is a standard to this one that they have set out here is the link: www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/documents/default.aspx?record=WD16%2f19515&dbid=AP&chksum=Nhp91p%2b2IdjR2jJJHTq62w%3d%3d

It would be a good idea to consult the NMBA before undertaking the conversion program. I don’t think there would be much problem when applying for the conversion program but there may be some issues when you are trying to register as an australian nurse.

I studied in ECU and I find that they really are very supportive to students. I have had no problems during my study at ECU. I have not heard much about negative comments on other universities though ☺️

Thank you so much for your video. This is so helpful. May I know how much will be the show money for the university and also an estimation on how much is the total cost of all your expenses? Hope to get an answer. Thanks again.

Show money will usually be the total cost of living for that year. This will be better calculated by the agent. It’s good for you to get an agent to assist you cos they will know the latest estimate for cost of living as well

I think Curtin and ECU offers the conversion program in Perth. Deakins in Melbourne. But you have to confirm with the schools as they may be ceased already

If you are not an Australian citizen or permanent resident, you need to have an appropriate visa like for example, a work visa.
