There are just sp many wonderful musicians and bands that deserve bigger audiences in the West that come from Asia, Asterism remain simply a wonderful band and a joy to watch and listen to.
They were featured as an "Event of the Day" on Friday, playing in the big Ichigo hall in front of at least a thousand people, maybe even 2000. It seems the organizers of Japan Expo fully understand how great these kids are.
They were featured as an "Event of the Day" on Friday, playing in the big Ichigo hall in front of at least a thousand people, maybe even 2000. They attracted a big audience when playing on a small stage Tsubame located in the corner of the main Japan Expo Hall 5. Many people heard them and came to check who was playing.
I love that they're doing their own thing. They deserve bigger stages but I hope they stay true to themselves. Top tier musicians with a limitless future!
It seems they have found some permanent, albeit modest, source of income, and now they have a budget to pursue their dreams. They go over the world, and they record albums... And it seems they are not under pressure from the label to become commercially viable-it seems they already are. So, I do hope they will continue their journey and bring us many new great songs and instrumentals and rock operas and epic symphonies!

@@takako1116 Too far... For me, it was only 2 hours 37 minutes on the train from Rotterdam. But if I would fly to Japan, it should have been a big trip, at least for two weeks. I won two tickets for BAND-MAID Hall Tour in a lottery, for Nagoya City Public Hall and Kanagawa Kenmin Hall, but in the end, I decided not to go. When I opened the list of documents required to get a visa and started working through it... I thought it's crazy.
They did not remember me, although I asked them to sign a photo from Fukuoka 2020 Hard Rock Cafe, where I was able to see them on January 8th. But by the end of these four days, of course they remembered these three grey-haired European guys who were always around. Me, 2abug, & UltraHD.7
@@VladimirChupin Very cool. I like them but I don't watch them often. I'm stupid. I didn't even know they were coming to France.🙄Thank you for these videos, Vlad.
I can't believe they played in Europe so many times this year and I still couldn't go see them! Thanks for the video, I really hoped I could see some footage online at least. How many people were in the audience? It looks like a big stage
This is Tsubame, a tiny stage in the corner of the main hall. It was actually an advantage, since the whole big hangar could hear them, and it looked like a couple thousand people would come each time to see them. They also played twice in the big Ichigo hall. On Friday, they were "The Event of the Day" of Japan Expo, and I would also estimate the attendance to be like couple thousand people.
Yes, bassist has more strings than guitarist in Asterism... :) They have been a 100% instrumental band until their last album which is 100% sung by 21 years old guitarist Hal-Ca. We'll see about the future.
@@kampfret She is actually Haruka Nomo, "HAL-CA" is how she stylized her name to be the one and only 😍 They are my second favorite band now. First is BAND-MAID, and the second is ASTERISM. They still call themselves "an instrumental band," it's written on their T-shirts, and HAL-CA was saying it each time at the start of the Anime Medley they played at this Japan Expo. "We are an instrumental band, so please sing the vocals." She was singing those anime songs a little bit, though, to help the audience sync with the music.
@@VladimirChupin so they play the instrument of an anime song and ask the audience to sing it? it's quite interactive actually.. IF the audience know the Japanese lyrics.. 😁 BAND-MAID is of course our number one band.. 🔥💪
Thanks for sharing Vladimir! Always a pleasure to see Asterism shine!!
Always happy to see them play material from Guernica, a masterpiece.
So impressive! Love this band. Thanks so much, Vladimir! 🙂
Thanks for some more classic concert footage of superb Japanese musicians. Hal-ca looks happy and killing it as usual.
Sugoi! Thanks Vladimir
The level of talent unbeknownst of their ages is the Greatness of Asterism ! Much love to them !
Thanks for the upload Vladimir! I follow these guys everywhere.

Thanks for showing us the video of ASTERISM's amazing live performance.🎸🎸🥁🎶🤘👍👏
Great video of a great memory! I saw you also shooting at the main stage same day, I will check what you posted from that. :)
Thanks for posting! I saw them in Marseille in March, also for a Japan Expo. Nice that they came back so soon. Were there many at this show?

Awesome. Hal-Ca's smile. Did she recognize you? Good for your promotion, Asterism, Wladimir is filming you.😃
