This is my favourite for the award. I highly recommend and hope that the award committee considers the sustainability (or absurd overspending) of each project, and related impact, jobs created etc. Some of the other nominees are cash-bloated, and required funding to the demise of pension schemes(Cambridge Key Worker housing, which exceeds £400 million) and Cambridge Central Mosque (£ 25 million) which needed 70% external funding that the illustrious community itself couldn't sustain and was luckily rescued by the Turkish government. This project is only £ 4 million and the value it adds to the area, and jobs, will exceed that amount quickly. This is the most sustainable. Very well done.

An interesting approach to a site in an established area and street scene. Brutalism meets rusticated monolith? Seems a bit self conscious to me.
