    Thank you for showing the difference with and without. I just recently took an interest in tie- dyeing and everyone talks about using soda ash but I never understood what a dramatic difference it would make. Thank you for the comparison.

    Thanks for the video! I had zero issues with the sound and there is a handy dandy pause button that allows you to look at the results for as long as you want haha I learned a lot!

    Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us!! I really appreciate it!! 🖤🖤 Now for you rude people leaving mean and sarcastic comments....let's see your videos?! You take time out of your day to make a video to help others out for FREE and let us critique everything you do including the way you breath!! This man is simply trying to help people like me who are confused and he's being attacked by y'all for every little thing....y'all are exhausting and don't deserve his videos to grace your suggested videos. Sir please don't listen to them, your video was just what I needed to see to clear up my confusion and there is absolutely nothing wrong with your video!! Also your tie dye work is amazingly beautiful. Be blessed!!

      I use Procyon dye. Not sure if I spelled that right? Also so called fiber reactive dye. Purchased from Dharma Trading Co.

    Thank you so much! I didn't know about turning the garment inside out, turning the garment upside down or how to use ash!

    It’s driving me crazy that it’s nearly impossible for me to find 100% cotton or natural blend shirts or hoodies or sweatpants. All I can find are blends but the synthetic dyes for blends can’t do multiple colors because they have to soak in nearly boiling water

    Super helpful! I’ll be buying soda ash. I recommend filing you unraveling and revealing the final product tho.

  • @polymorphseviltwin

    What dye are you using? I was told not to use soda ash with rit but it isn't really color fast.... And others include soda ash... Are you using pigment powder with water??? What are you using???

    Does Retayne do the same thing as Soda Ash?

    • @tie-dyewitherniecox3679
      @tie-dyewitherniecox3679  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have no experience with Retayne so I go with what I know works. Soda ash is fairly inexpensive. Sorry I couldn’t answer your question.

    can i put soda ash in dye?

    • @tie-dyewitherniecox3679
      @tie-dyewitherniecox3679  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can. The issue with doing that is your dye will spoil after a short time. Some people will mix 2 parts soda ash to 1 part dye. If your doing liquid dye you will need to use up your mix or after a short time it will not hold its color. If doing ice dye then you will be fine to hold onto your dry mix, as soon as you add liquid and the soda ash and dye mix together then you have just a short time for the mix to ”fix” to your fabric. Look up your question on mr. tie dye TH-cam Channel. He has good information on this subject.

      I really appreciate the negative feedback. I’m sure you can tell I’m new making videos, what is great is you can see the results without even watching the video. You can stare at the opening picture for as long as you like. I will try to fix that at some point. Again thank you for the feedback.

    The video was nice but the sound is irritating. I think it's the sound of how you breath.

    • @tie-dyewitherniecox3679
      @tie-dyewitherniecox3679  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Thank you for the comment on the video. You may be right about the sound, but it’s something that everyone has to do and my 2 year battle with prostate cancer and being on chemo probably makes it worse. But still glad to be breathing. Thanks again and Live,Life,Large.
