@Yay Diaz many vocal coaches on youtube are impressed by the quality of gigi's voice. they say that her voice is powerful yet sweet and very pleasant to hear. i doubt if a throaty voice could pass the standard of those who are truly knowledgeable in music.
I agree with you, Morissette is definitely the best singer, on another level from Gigi. Mori's range is far superior. But I do love listening to Gigi. We all have our favourites, even if they are less talented, but they are our favourites and nobody can take that away.That's what opinions are.

With all due to respect to Gigi De Lana, she's a good singer, she can belt no doubt but her tone is just like an ordinary belter here in the Philippines and becomes thin when singing high notes. Morissette, tone wise, the color, thickness, and tightness is impeccable. The squeek/break/cry, whistle tone, and technique is out of this world.

Her squeeks and breaking of her voice are nothing to crow about cause it doesnt really sound good.She sounds like the aging Mariah who used to be great but not anymore.

Yeah I really love her incredible whistles but did you know she rarely uses her whistles nowadays since she is more focusing on her weaknesses such as the low notes. And for us fans, she is not just a whistle girl, she is a VERY DIVERSE SINGER who has a lot of vocal techniques (vocal cry, vocal fry, etc.)
