ANDERSON ON DRUMS…… Bruno said Anderson has the ability to make you hear the drums differently than anyone he’s ever played with.
I don’t know why people keep questioning who’s playing the drums on this album. Anderson is a PHENOMENAL drummer…it’s what he does. If you’ve ever watched him live, he sing and raps WHILE playing drums, and fans know his style. The only song he didn’t play on is Smokin Out The Window, which he gave to his protege. As for the foul language, people who had albums in the 70s remember the language from P-Funk, Ohio Players, Betty Wright, Millie Jackson, etc…it’s not unusual for funk musicians to have colorful language, and in cases like Silk Sonic, the few sprinkles of foul language has the desired effect for people my age, a ‘69 baby who grew up listening to music in the 70s and saw the evolving of rap music in my youth and young adulthood. You never heard the uncensored versions on the radio back then. Besides, with all the rap music been bleeped every other word on the radio today, this joint and SOTW shouldn’t have a problem getting played.

I think Anderson is on the drums. I noticed the one spot where the sticks clicked and I sat up. Anderson handles those thinner sticks. I don’t know all correct names but I been watching Anderson on his own records. For me this song is the lively instrument’s.does in some of his songs . Anderson can work those sticks. I’ve never seen the way he mixes them with other part’s of his drumming 🔥💯
