I show what is inside the box, I do a demonstration and then I give you my thoughts on the Karcher FC5 Hard Floor Cleaner.

Thanks for your reviews - I found them very valuable in decide which Karcher products to buy (or NOT buy). I bought the FC7 and I love it. It glides effortlessly and leaves the floors looking perfect in a few minutes. It also dries almost Instantly even in winter. It’s made cleaning the tiles so easy - I’m so pleased I spent more and got the superior model. Thanks again for your review videos!

I bought one, tought it cleaned veeeery poorly, but then i watched your video, i did not soak for 5 minutes, and did not put 2 caps of soap. I have a tiny apartment and i think this Will work vert Nice.
ONLY thing: i tought this was a STEAMER. With very hot water.. Guess not. Still Hope i Will be happy

@@GrumpyMansREVIEWS I not purchased either the Karcher or the Bissel. I was looking at them today when I came across your review. For now I think I will continue using my Shark vacuum cleaner and manual mop that I purchased from The Container several years ago (forget the brand but similar to a swifer but using cloth pads). For me, they've been the best for doing my engineered wood floors, which I've had for about 6 years now.

Good well filmed honest review, thanks. I had the impression that the machine was quite noisy, is the microphone camera making it seem noisier than it is? Like you we have hard floors on both levels. Do you think that if the capacity would be more then it would be quite heavy with all that fluid? At present we use a microfibre cloth on a hard brush but I'm looking at making things easier.

It's less noisy than most vacuum cleaners as they gave some attention to the placement and damping of the air exit.

Very helpful review and helped me decide not to buy it. It looks unwieldy and heavy and I don’t want to struggle with my floor cleaner. It’s expensive as well.

I was really interested in this on the advert but not too sure now, my kitchen floor is massive and I think it would drive me nuts having to keep stopping to empty the tank, also, I've got shoulder issues and thought this would help but maybe will stick with my mop & bucket lol. Great review though.

To be honest Renata I think a spray mop would be perfect for you!
Use a microfiber mop and change microfiber cloths until clean, then wash the microfibers, that’s how we clean commercial buildings.
can u show it vacs up spilled coffee or debris?
It won’t go flat all the way for mopping under a king size bed?

I have one, I like it on stubborn stains you go over quite a bit or scratch the spot with something. I like that it collects everything even hairs from the floor. I sweep roughly before I use the Karcher. I like how easy it is to clean the actual parts. I like that it reaches the wall. My complains is, it is heavy to lift thew Karcher but it is meant to be dragged on the floor. Will I buy it again? yes I will

Does it dry the floor streak free with no water marks? I have tiled marble floors that are white/cream and so far not found a streak less mop
It doesn't leave any streaks but I use it on wood, I can't really comment on marble I think it will be fine but not 100% sure.

You Europeans really get ripped off on everything you buy.. It's a German company, yet I can buy this thing all the way in Australia for €200 - I'm so glad I don't live in Europe anymore.. I was so poor for those two years..

Thanks for the honesty, I was going to buy one of these but l have a large area to clean and l have dogs. Are there any vacs at all you would recommend. I don't care if portable or not l just want something that will clean well on timber and a plus would be if it could vac a bit of carpet or Furniture as well. Thanks 👍

@@bushrahussain4417 No problem! Well if you get a steam mop, you still have to vacuum before, where as with the Bissell it's all in one and you get better results.
I have both but I'm always using the Bissell.

Does it filter well the air that comes out of the machine? (I once tried the karcher WD3 wet vacuum cleaner and got headache and nausea from the invisible dirty air mixed with cleaning chemicals it would spray out!)
None of these 2in1 machines will be great at filtering the air however this is better then the WD3

@@zbridgjpxupzm It’s difficult to remember one really, they are good. I’ve reviewed a few on my channel, they’ll definitely be better than the WD3.
I'm sorry but that floor already looks clean before he even started. I have tile floors with 3 pets that go outside and a backyard that is a mud pit. I've been looking for a mopping solution outside of Libman mops for 15 years and haven't found it. Someone suggested this. It's hard to tell when the floors don't even look dirty in the first place!
The problem with all the demo videos on this product is, all the floor seems flawlessly cleaned except for a few articial dirt mark. How about things like hair or small particles? Also, it is not too wasteful to do one machine run for the 2 roller? Any alternative way to clean??

Thanks for the review. I have a Hoover Floormate Deluxe and was thinking the Karcher FC5 would be better. But apparently not.
But after seeing your review I have major doubts now.
The Karcher has too small of a waste tank. Not to mention the gap in the rollers. So if you sweep it front and back some parts the gap be missed.
I still have the floormate in the UK it's under the Vax brand.
I just reviewed the Vax Glide that's quite good in USA it's under the Hoover brand.

You can't get an accurate idea of how noisy it is from this video, since there is nothing to compare it with. you better look at the manufacturer's decibel specifications. It is Quiet Mark Certified so it should be pretty good.

Great review thanks, dont bother buying as waste of money, steam mop for £60 way better as lifts stubborn stains due to the heat, heavy bit of kit too on the wrists.... stick to pressure washers Karcher!
Cleaning the rollers and the intricate tank parts seems like more work than just using a mop.

After cleaning the rollers in a 40 degree wash - they dried off beautiful and puffy. Now they are too fat for the machine! 😖. And it won’t run with the washed rollers. 12 Euros for new rollers from
Amazon but I can’t use new rollers for every clean. Anyone else had (and resolved) this problem yet?
Does it pick up sand and hair? And what happens to it, does it get sucked up by the vacuum or does it get stuck to the roller that you then have to take off and clean every 5 minutes because stuff gets stuck to it? I'm not convinced by this. Floors typically have hair and sand-type of dirt that accumulates over time. I don't want to be hoovering and then using this machine. I want one machine that deals with everything. It seems more like a gimmick.

This very heavy, smelly and unwieldy machine is so frustrating.....the rollers fly off and the front cover pops off all the time, today it won't go back on....because I have slate floors and pets the rollers get filthy...the "cleaning stand" does not clean them, they need to go in the washing machine or they smell like a filthy flannel. If the rollers are a bit dirty and you go upto the skirting boards it leaves a big smear...
Personally I would like to send it back. Its lying on the kitchen floor because the cover popped off again, and again and again. Frustrating. I shall just get my mop and bucket and weep...
Well mine must be faulty, it’s spirts water from the front, I’ve never had any dirty water in the back. I’m not impressed at all. There was tiny little marks on the floor it never cleaned them after several go. I don’t recommend it at all. Either we have a faulty one or they are crap.

i bought one after few weeks broken. sent to repair, return 6 months later. bought a second one. Same problem. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. As soon as you remove the front of the brush cannot put it back and everything is spoiled
I bought this product, not impressed at all, as you said it's a 50/50 for me also, it is also very unnecessarily noisy ( very loud) definitely not worth the money I paid for it.

As a product proper nightmare. Motor for the fluid to the motors goes every 6 months. That's why you dunk it in the water trough, because after the motor goes you won't know any difference.
The dirt gets deep every go blocking the filters and grates.
He says well made, that's because you can't make appropriate and needed fixes every go yourself.
It does do a go job if.... You've just brought it, it does not have any debri on the floors as this will jam everything up popping the motor. For £300 quid get a top mop.
Love Karcher, hate this device.
