may i ask what hook size did you use please?
I was using a 5/0 and 6/0 octopus hook.
what was your setup for the bonita?
I had a 8 ft powerstick medium heavy surf rod with a Daiwa BG 4000 reel with 20lb braid and 30 lb fluorocarbon leader

@@rolltide9547 You would need to catch them on the pier. They usually stay around the pilings with the cigar minnows.
