Rasheed Wallace was huge in this game. Rasheed was as talented as any PF maybe ever. He just didn't always play up to his superstar capability.
Shaq even in his first season in Miami in 04-05, still lost to Detroit in game 7 at Miami, his 2nd straight season ending loss to the Pistons, in the 2005 Eastern Conference Finals.
Beat them in 2006 though
@@TheSands83 Yes, them being taken to seven the year before helped them get over the Pistons hump in 06.
And because of this game 7 result and also because of the Western Finals result, instead of a Suns-Heat Finals in 2005, or even one of the Suns or Heat making the Finals, we got stuck with a Spurs-Pistons Finals.
Spurs-Pistons 2005 Finals is the equivalent of the Yankees-Marlins 2003 World Series (we wanted Cubs-RSOX World Series or at least one of them 2 making it to the World Series)
And the Suns lost 4-1 to the Spurs so they had no chance, especially when Joe Johnson was hurt. At least this series went to game 7.

@@TheSands83Not me. I DESPISED those Spurs and Pistons for turning the beautiful game into an unwatchable scrum. That Finals made me stop caring about the NBA for years.
