I am not belittling him. But what exactly is the point in being a fast painter ? The very purpose of art is to immerse oneself in the making of it, enjoy the process, and ultimately create a thing of everlasting joy. Why do you want to finish it in less than 5 minutes ? What purpose does that even serve ? What is this sense of urgency to finish the painting ? I find it pointless!
Music, painting, sex, reading, listening to a song - these are not meant to be done with a sense of urgency. It beats the very purpose of indulging in them.
