- Nyepi Celebrations, watching the Ogoh-Ogoh Ngrupuk Parade in Seminyak and Bali's Day of Silence :)
'For the Balinese, Nyepi is a Hindu celebration that marks the start of a New Year - a day to cleanse the island from the previous year’s misdoings and bad omens, establishing a pure and positive year ahead. The whole island shuts down for a full 24 hours, and the streets are off limits to everyone.
Ogoh-ogoh are statues built for the Ngrupuk parade, which takes place on the eve of Nyepi day in Bali, Indonesia. Ogoh-ogoh normally take the form of mythological beings, mostly demons.'
Hope you enjoy x
