Good too see people working on solutions for an ECV
I love this rock and roll bed. Fitted perfectly.
great work!
bed idea is genius.
Would love to see him sitting in the back seats with the roof down lol.
Amazing. Unfortunately, it will take another year until the longer wheelbase is available. But maybe until then there will also be the possibility to plug in on the car's battery system for all the appliances. I think that will be the game changer for electric van conversions and camper vans. And of course, the bunk beds. :)
The first thing we installed in our Buzz was the porta poti! 😂 That is definitely missing, otherwise great conversation!🙂🙋🏻♂️
I fell in love. Do you plan to build it for left hand drive also with the kitchen on the other side?
Excellent ideas implemented!
Excellente installation 👍🏻✨️
V2L and a standardised interface for adding solar panels to an EV should make such a conversion much better.
The former is already announced by VW, the latter, it might need some pressure from companies like yours.
After seeing the potential you show, it really would be quite interesting to see if VW can use it fully in their California version of the Buzz.
👍👍
Good effort guys. People comparing with T6 sort of miss the point.
Great to meet you today at fully charged farnborough
Clever...thank you for the video and the hard work you guys put into this!
Please turn the music off when talking, very annoying. Thanks,
Hahaha, no, they should not turn the music off. They should turn down the volume though. 🌈
@@robertschnobert9090 , he was neither singing, nor rapping, so the music became a background noise.
I got lost in translations with the Aaah at every sentence
Blimey guys….😂 what about feedback on the van!?!
@@ClearNoun some people will find a reason to complain about anything, so sad. Have you not a single positive word to say about the initiative and creativity of these fine people?
Amazing conversion! Brilliant work guys and look forward to seeing you at the Fully Charged Live event.
Great work guys....looks terrific
Well done on getting one of the first conversions done. I have to say that the buzz does seem a bit too small to be a good campervan. Maybe ok for a single person. I hope VW produce a credible replacement for the transporter 🤞
I completely agree.
The T7 California concept isn't much better. They had to use the LWB to make it fit somewhat.
Really good conversion, the rear seat / bed is just brilliant.
@@IDBuzzCamperVan Agreed can you tell us the dimensions (LxW) and whether you have a topping mattress? Is the roof bed slats or froli?
What a cool concept 🌈
Love to see a UK based conversion! And with the pop top roof as well! There’s a company in Portugal called Siesta Campers who have converted the ID Buzz but without the roof, so they have made the kitchen outdoors with drawers that pull out at the back. Maybe that’s ok for Portuguese weather!
Do the front seats swivel round? Keeping the double side door is a good idea too - if the sink tap comes with a stretchy hose then that can double as outdoor shower!
great job 👏
Absolutely smart conversion - I hope you have got the seat/bed conversion mechanism patented - brilliant idea!
but a big disadvantage is surely that you've to go outside to convert to the bed...
wow, top job guys
I WANTS IT !!!!

Really love the video and what you have achieved... a shame about the irritating background music.
Very, very, very nice!!
VW~nice car ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Aaah, the pop-top roof, aaaah, is, the first-aaaah-that we believe is the first, I should say-aah-that has actually been fitted to the buzz-aaaah-so, all in all-aaah-quite groundbreaking, really. Aaaaaaaah
You have done a great job guys 👍Congratulations 🎉on being the first to the party!
Any idea of OTR costings?
Clever design and tidy build! When are you coming to Canada? (Hint hint)
Amazing - this is a brilliant conversion. Te presentation is spoiled by that irritating music in the background though!! But there are great ideas in this van.
Looks amazing. Great job.
What if the kitchen taps could fold down and the hob be flush with the worktop, then the surface would be better for storing things on or for use as a perfectly flat extra worktop when kitchen facilities aren't needed ? I can imagine this van being a great mobile office for those that need it. Also why not use all of the pop top roof area for a really big solar panel or two and use all of that available space for charging the leisure battey more from PV.
Even for a single person I would like to see some innovative annexes and how that can increase the living space
Cool to see, it would be great for a couple or small family. Personally, I think an awning on the side some form of table option, and more solar panels would be what I'd spec it with. Congrats on launching this, hope you every success with it.
@@IDBuzzCamperVan I agree. Especially regarding more solar panels. There is space for 4 times the solar panels on that roof and if that could also feed the motive battery it could help boost the range and save on charging costs. Leave it on the drive for a week before going away and you would have your first leg for free.
Well done it’s gorgeous and seems to be the first conversion … kitchen would be nicer in a darker shade. The bed is a work of art in simplicity. Great job 👏
Pretty iconic, once charge points around the world are more accessible. This might be viable options for van life
You've had to be very clever here, such a different footprint area. But first Buzz conversion, congrats
Sticking t3 /t25 layout Lots of space on my Viking pop top Aircooled Petrol 1979 2l.Just needs bit of work to finish lol.T3 Smarter larger ideal layout platform size for I'd buzz .Buses Campervans....😊😊
Excellent job.
Perfection (minus no bunk, but I would expect that to be only a matter of time). Can you all come to the States so we can have this epic conversion option here as well? 😀
Nice job, love it! Will you be doing a US ID Buzz conversion?
Thanks!
Brilliant. Imagine travelling in this one, when the range is doubled.
Have a deeper look into the electronics of this van. You should be able to pull power from the main battery whilst it is plugged in to charge.
But great stuff, I like the usability of the kitchen outside as well.
This is amazing !
Hello there
The video was full of information and very well executed. Looks to be a fantastic conversion well done to your company.
I noticed the solar panel and hoping you can give me details and how I could buy/fit one to my camper if it was at all possible.
Génial
Nice
Great idea and video. Have you thought about doing the same conversion for the LEVC?
The people who’ve tried sleeping in the standard buzz had trouble keeping heating on, and suffered heat loss from the windows. Have you solved overnight temperature control and some sort of insulated window blinds?
Interesting conversation, think a bit small for 2 and a dog so will stick with the T6 LWB for the time being. However fully electric is my aim long term
Hotel?
Congrats guys. Still waiting for VW to bring the Buzz to Australia.
Love the solar panel! Would be cool if the main battery could be integrated with solar panel and induction cooker/fridge (no extra powerpack).
Idee molto intelligenti
Is the rock-and-roll bed CE certified to use for road use with the factory seatbelts?
Can you also mirror the build to the left side for LHD van's? Same goes for the electrics to make it 230v 50hz euro shuko standard?
Looks great. Be good to get the front seat(s) to spin round.
Great install. Is this the LWB? Looks a bit small.
Not seen any other one. Like the inverse pop top too.
I'm doing an e-Expert with an Bluetti as powerbank.
Those units work great for getting the electrics sorted in a small Van.
It's a nice job but I think you would need the LWB's additional 20cm to fit a porta-potti between the front seats and bed where it's usually needed. These guys are pros so they will work it out.
Do you have options for blinds for all windows?
Love the ID buzz campervan however there nothing said, mention, or shown about water storage for sink and drinking there's nothing about that in this video so and about draining the sink as well is there a toilet or atleast a portable toilet on board or something like that, does it have an awning on the side as well or can I fit one is there WiFi in this vehicle, lots of questions yes though people are going to ask,. . . The sink does it give only cold water or will it be able to produce hot water as well via a water heater of some sort then also sound system does it have atleast some kind of radio with sound or something
amazing conversion!!! looks fantastic! We‘re looking for an individual conversion with a pop up roof, a bunk bed and a rocking bed but with 8 seats without the kitchen. Could something be done also?
@@IDBuzzCamperVan We will. 😉
Your website says the battery is 111 kWh but VW configurator in the UK only seems to offer the 77 kWh pack at the moment. I suspect your website is wrong, it is only 77 kWh, and this is an important detail to get right.
Can we have this in the states? We are still waiting for the buzz to arrive.
Very cool but so many opertunities with all the evergy on board, great to be the first ones to conver though, but why isn't that power pack charging from the 12v system?
Would consider one when they have a 500 miles range..too many charges for going to Southern Europe..very nice looking vehicle
Does the rear seat have two proper seat belt points?
Is the rear seat pull tested and has seatbelts? Or van designed for 2 ppl. ?
VW ID4 has an DC to DC converter onboard of nominal 3KW. That should do the job for all the electric accessories here. Is this DC to DC not available on ID Buzz? There is something still for the 12V battery there.
Excellent features. However, I think direct access from the front to the back through the cabin is missing.
Can the solar panels charge the cars HV battery?
I kept waiting to see the interior table and captain swivel chairs. I want 300 mile range and 50 miles/day solar charging capability too.
How works heating in winter time?
Does it come with right hand steering wheel so I can be able to drive on south African roads
Why did you add a battery pack inverter, etc., which raises the cost and takes the space when you have a huge battery and inverter in the car? Why not use the main battery?
Well done! Just wondered what the payload is after conversion and also is their a heater?
many ev's have a camping mode where the heater/cooler can function while parked running off the traction battery to keep the cabin comfortable while charging/waiting to charge or for pre-conditioning , not sure about the VW id family of vehicles.
Love the look of this! Big question is how much would this cost and is electric camping van fit for purpose yet when travelling?
It looks really nice, well done , roughly what price is that one ??
hello nice video thank you question is it possible to charge the cars battery via the roof solar or only the internal battery ? thx
the single panel they installed is about 100-150 W, so it would need roughly a month of charging for a 100km of range, assuming the car charger would start with 30V input, which is doubtful
Nice van, why no bed in the rooftent?
Awesome. Will you be doing a build in a Electric Ford Transit?
Can you convert an electric BMW Mini, i need more room ?
I am still missing the small overlap crash test!
No rear belts?
Looks brilliant. How does the extra weight affect the range of the vehicle?
Weight does not play a big role, especially not when driving at constant speeds.
The only thing missing is turning the two seats into captain rotating seats
Props to you for the first Buzz conversion. Interested to know kWh or Ah size of the lithium pack and inverter, and also why you didn't look at V2L from the main traction battery as the Ioniqs and Hyundai and MGs now do with upto 3600W rated draw via 3pin 240V ac?
Because VW did not design it that way.
@@Simon-dm8zv Hi Simon, thanks for the reply. I understand that VW don't want you tampering with their battery for V2L - many manufacturers won't allow this and those that do (Kia, Hyundai and MG, etc) don't do vans, sadly. Could you please confirm the lithium leisure battery size and inverter rating for the induction hob please? Many thanks
@@chrisyates399 I was not involved with the project above. However my girlfriend and I built a campervan 2 years ago with an induction hob. Our system works fine with a 200 Ah lithium battery and a 1500 W pure sinewave inverter.
@@IDBuzzCamperVan Thanks for that - just to clarify where is the 400W panel? The one on the roof of the van looks to be around 160-200w?
Pop top opens at the rear where the seating is ??? Would have been better to have maximum height at the front.
No Vehicle to Load (V2L) from vehicle battery?
I don't think you mentioned the thunderbox ... what about toilet facilities?
Great conversion, great presentation but with terrible music, why?
Ok, and wats about table and seats?
From Australia, what is a hob?
Wow! Brilliant! What is the cost of the conversion?
Why aren’t you charging the leisure battery off the traction battery.
You definitely could at least charge the indoor power pack from the 12v system that the car has. Click the car On from the steering column and buckle one of the front seats, now the power stays on. More clever way would be to just talk to the can-bus. This way you could also utilise the stereo unit that the car has.
Nice! I'm sold!... Please make me a two tone yellow/white one and ship it to Australia. Where do I send the check?
www.buzzcampervan.co.uk
I have been waiting for this one for at least 10 years! Only thing that's missing is the longer buzz version and power draw from the main battery. Price? 😅🔫
Please Visit www.buzzcampervan.co.uk For Spec, Photos and Pricing info.
It is a bit silly to carry an external battery for the appliances. You need to find a way to power them directly from the HV battery. An inverter that converts 400V dc to 240V AC would be ideal.
Ehhhhh I like that van, thanks for the ehhhh video 😊
No WC seth up?
Dall'interno si riesce a ribaltare il letto senza aprire il tetto?
