Can you imagine if the majority of individuals thought and live they way you do? By the way, I live and think exactly the same way you do. There wouldn’t be such an economy where our investments would pay what they do. I personally thank all consumerist and encourage people to spend and be “happy”. YOLO! FOMO! I just sit back and enjoy the show. Great content sir.
It’s easy to be frugal when you’re single. Wait until you get married and have children. Finding the woman who has the same money sense as you will be difficult.
In my case my wife is frugal and she converted me. Not that hard to find a girl like that if he really search the right places. But, I don't think he will marry though because he doesn't like to be pressured or rushed and he values freedom and control.
It's harder to save and pay for rent while you're single, tho... Also, if you know girls who want to live their rich life, that's nothing wrong with that as long as they distribute their money well - iwillteachyotobereach talks about it, I highly recommend his videos. It's not like you have to be frugal to save and invest for your future. Frugality is good when you don't want a crazy job, rat race, more more and more. Like me - I am now part-time worker and I love that free time I get, but I kinda need to be frugal to live that way. It's choosing quality of your time over quantity of money and things you have.
I think it is not easy for everyone to save money like U because the majority of people like to use money than save it. Enjoy your life also throughout finding without ceasing a meaning things which U planned and are satisfied. Thank you a lot for this video!
Thanks for the video! I don't know if you can really be called *extremely* frugal. It seems to me you have a pretty average life. $800/month is a pretty good rent price, and probably the average that a single person pays, depending on the city you live in. That's good that you find ways to get discounts. I think all people, when they first start working and making money, feel a compulsion to go out and spend it. I think a lot of people are waking up to the fact that spending more money doesn't make you happier. Best wishes to you!
It is basically peace of mind. No worries. I don’t like drama either. I am frugal and it is what I feel most comfortable with. You feel secure. No debt at all. I minimize my bills. I beat you with my car being 2007 and 2009 with 198k and 300k miles. I buy cars in cash and drive it to the ground. Hondas are the best and every Honda lasted me over 300k miles( each one only totaled by someone hitting my car and insurance wouldn’t let me keep my car even unless I paid them! Crooks.). What you need to work on is saving to buy a house so you have assets that appreciate instead of losing money to rent and paying the landlord’s mortgage. Then once you buy a house work on paying it off early. Bc when you reach retirement( early retirement FIRE) then you have no mortgage or rent( bc rent only goes up and with less money in retirement you want to have no bills). So work on building that part up and you will do fine. Real estate over stocks imho. Stocks while ok can still be risk and gambling especially as economy falters but real estate well you always need a place to live and you can rent out rooms if you need to. I like duplexes even though I don’t have one but wish I did. That way one side you rent out and can keep an eye out and let that renter pay your mortgage. Once paid off income stream which you can retire early. Over here hard to find duplexes and properties even a shack over a million.
Dude is paying 650 in rent ....if he runs the calculator of rent vs buying ...it will suggest him to keep renting. Buying house means now he is paying more for taxes , maintenance and stuff. Also have to give up lot of equity for downpayment. Also if he does not like doing laundry or his beard ( which btw is not there that much so I don't know why he pays 10 dollar for that ...) ...he won't like landlord duties.
@@awesomekj5812 Yes landlord duties are not easy, it can be a headache! BUT if you don’t buy when you are young it only gets more expensive and out of reach. You will price yourself out of the market! I see retired people who did not buy a house and are paying rent which goes only up and now they are facing such high rents which is more than a retirement income. However if you paid off your house, you have a place to stay, place to bring in income if you have to, and not included in your main bills while others are struggling just to get rent. Out here it is 1000./ month for just a room, 2400./-4K/month for rental including apts. You will have to room with others for the rest of your life if you want to pay less.
Looks like he hit a nerve. People share personal experiences about what makes them happy and how they improved their lives and hopefully inspire like-minded people. This is one of the things TH-cam is for. The fact that you have spikes all over your comment and somehow saw negativity in this videos means you're jealous and have a inferiority complex because he is living in complete satisfaction/peace/happiness/control and you're not.
I hope your video spreads all over. Thank you 🙏
Thank you 🙏🙏

it's obvious he will never attract any girl
I was frugal until I met my gf
Imagine being mean for absolutely no reason... What a sad life.
Also I have a few frugal girl friends.

Random questions: where did you get your glasses and do you get multiple pairs and how do you deal with glasses and being frugal (like eye exams etc)

I completely agree!! I am looking to buy a house in the next year so I am definitely working hard on that front 👀 👀 👀
