For avoid flickering you have to reload the game after the very first launch since a new driver was installed. Because it needs some time to caching all shaders.
I did set it to Vulkan. It crashed. I can't even get in the main menu, so I had to delete user folder and app data in order for me to get in the game menu.

Have you tried vulkan with the arc a770?

It could be both game and driver, but let's see how it is when Shattered Space is released.
