The games you played illustrate quite well what we saw in the Knoxville regionals: a defensive pokemon with the right tera type can give you a way to consistently win certain matchups and putting the pressure on your opponent to pick the right pokemon to stay competitive
Wait, the german name for brute bonnet is Wutpilz? That literally translates to "anger-mushroom". That's hilarious. Other than that, thanks for the team, for showcasing it in such an entertaining way and just for all the content you put out.
Personally, I would have preferred something like "Krawallkappe". It would have been alot closer to Brute Bonnet and funnier at the same time. Alternatively, there was an opportunity to fuse "Wüstling", which basically means brute and "Wulstling", which is a kind of mushroom. But I am not smart enough for that. 😄
The fun thing about using obscure Pokemon that rarely are used is the surprise. The opponent often doesn't know what they are going to do, and how they are stat invested, which can make it difficult for them to play around. Lol. 👍🏻

Grumpig eats +1 STAB Armor Cannons for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. At first I was skeptical that a team focused on taking hits and chipping away at the opponent would work, but WOW

I feel like grumpig with more supportive moves would be really interesting It has taunt, screens, trick room helping hand, encore, trick, twave, snarl, thief, confuse ray even imprison It also weirdly has access to punching moves like brick break and elemental punches If it gained fake out, follow me and maybe sucker punch and yawn it would be incredibly viable as a supportive bulky mon!

Grumpig is my favourite Pokémon and this is such a cool thing to see! I used one in VGC2016 in what ended up being my best team of that season, he did pretty well with Teeter Dance and a Colbur Berry since it caught many enemies off-guard by surviving many, many Knock Offs :P I only wish that it had a bit more support moves or that he would be a bit bulkier, maybe if he had Magic Bounce - considering Magic Coat was his signature move back in the day!
This team is wild! I am really impressed with the japanese players. They can create teams with unusual pokemon and still achieve good results in the ladder and tournaments. I love their creativity QOTD: I think Grumpig is outclassed by Indeede-F. So it needs better stats, especially more defense, to be viable imo

I was just making a new team for the season and I was looking at how I can use Grumpig and I didn’t think I would be able to. Then I go on TH-cam and your video is up 😂
If I was going to buff Grumpig I'd probably give it a bit more bulk, mainly on the physical side. It feels like it's just baaaarely short of being bulky enough to run as a consistently useful bulky support. It has a decent moveset, getting access to Snarl, Trick Room, Encore, Taunt, etc. So it HAS some pretty good moves at its disposal for a support mon, even having access to the ever-amusing Simple Beam, but it's just a tad shy of being bulky enough to really stick around on the field for a few turns to make good use of it. Outside of just changing its stats however, giving it access to some recovery options like Recover or Life Dew could go a long way to artificially increase its bulk with such a minor change, letting it use a support move or two then Recover up to keep going.
Aaron have you ever thought of using a Sheer Force Braviary with Power Herb and Sky Attack + Flying Tera Type? It's literally a Torkoal Eruption but single target and 1 charge. He can wipe out anything even those resistant to it with that move alone and then rely on Acrobatics or Brave Bird to follow up. Just noticed everyone sleeping on that combo since gen 5, and now with Tera types too. It's literally a counter to anything slower than it because it one hit ko's everything.

I hope in the future each type can get some sort of bonus by being next to a fellow pokemon with its same type. Also would be cool if certain bad pokemon got certain buffs for being on a team with X Pokemon.
In game vs garchomp with tera fire you should have been using stomping tantrum into it instead of aiming for grimmsnarl just in case of para - that would have secure your victory.

Did they updated scream tail's animation with a levitating one? I recalled it being on the ground when battling.
Some flying pokes alternate between floating and standing. Same thing with Flamigo
